Great puzzle! Optimized (loosely) for cycles and ended up getting 1497/89/15 by having one EXA read even samples, and another read odd samples, then weaving those two together into a single file, then splitting it off into chunks of 50 by copying to a 4th EXA. . Might be possible to push this further by doing the weaving and splitting at the same time, thus cutting off a full copy's worth of cycles, by counting the number of samples on both the transmitters and receiver and delaying the transmitters until the receiver has time to drop and make, but that sounds like a nightmare, particularly with a couple nasty edge cases.
