Hey, thanks for playing and comments. From spawn you can just rocket grapple back to the scan very quickly if you wanted to. I agree about the quantity of levels though I'm probably not going to change it now as its very tie consuming in the editor to make such edits.

Amazing map! I like the very detailed environments. However I find the actual fight to be a bit too long because the tower itself is just many floor repeated. And as others have mentioned, the respawn is too far from the fight

Amazing Design, Only complaints the map is big for these scans, and enemies are spread way on too many levels and respawn point being at beginning area.

I think multi zones is probably the next approach I'll use for my next 'major' map.

So it is possible ( I believe ) to have multiple zones in a single workshop map, its just I haven't experimented with it yet. I almost was going to with this map, but decided I wanted the upper and lower zone to exist. It can be a little annoying but as you said once you realise you can just zoom up or even climb up very quickly its not such an issue. Would I do it again this way probably not.

Perhaps though, just like how the game handles this by having transition zones have their own blue checkpoint, and combat zones have their own, could maps be allowed two checkpoints or more if they exceed a certain size? I imagine the current system limits you to only 1?

I dont know if this is something you've thought about or brought up to the dev but maps that try to follow this same concept of having the lead up to the main area seem to suffer from the mechanic of always re spawning on the blue mark.

You need the blue mark to have the player properly teleport to the start of course, especially in the event the randomly generated connection puts the player on the island somewhere weird, but then at the same time if the player dies, the spawn being allllll the way down there means they've gotta treck back up every time. Of course with rocket riding getting back up takes only a few seconds, so thats not a big deal, but in future maps I could see it being one.

The base game has no such functionality around such a thing and even suffers from the same issue in some arenas, dying and having to spend time navigating back. So I understand there is no like slap on solution.

This map worked for me fine and was really fun to play! Felt like a level from the game almost. The way you have to climb up to get to the scan and eveyrthing reminded me a lot of the early game with how you'd see stuff in the distance and be like "Oooh I wanna go there!"

Hey, no worries, I'm the one who should be apologising. The only other thing I can suggest is if you were to unsubscribe, load and play the game without the map and then resubscribe afterwards and restart game. (It tends to change location/positioning of a map). I'll probably report this to Matt anyway see if he can help.

removed the option to preserve height again.

I've bumped the spawn up even more and I've checked an option to preserve the map's original height (same as editor) so hopefully the game doesn't make any adjustments. Fingers crossed.

Fast travel now works but if you load the game from the menu, you're stuck and can't access the map.

I think there's something wrong with the spawn point. Every time I quick travel here I get stuck in the ground and can't access the map for some reason.

Great map otherwise.
