half life's community imo is a golden example that modding can keep the franchise alive, even if we've got less tools people make due with what we got. we are no fools for living in the past, because it is what shapes the future... (my poetic dummy be cooking)
but i guess to sum it up: just don't worry of the grand politics of a game's or franchise's future, i wouldn't be modding halo 3 if i was worrying of where halo was headed, i'll just hope for the best and let news come to me, not any other way.
I will always miss this franchise.
