Always a pleasure to help! I think since we've also been teased the Dothraki for the next update, and they already exist as a culture, that might be another culture Legacy track to consider. Khans of the Steppe really added a lot to consider with the whole migration/tributary system. Even in Legacy of Valyria they haven't implemented that new system yet, though they have some of their territory on the map. They're kinda sedentary though with little tribal holdings and not really Dothraki-ish. That should be pretty damn interesting when it comes out. I wouldn't rush to do anything yet, (again, I'm not expecting you to implement code for a system we have no confirmation on) but maybe just jot down some ideas and keep it on the back burner.

And yeah, the Targaryens are kinda OP as long as they have dragons. I think that's what makes the whole Dance of Dragons or people trying to jump start their own interesting.
Eber  [author] 7 hours ago
@Savvy_Panda Thanks for the thoughtful response. You're right about the dragon riding track and that it's not really specific to the Targaryens. Like you said, their track would actually focus on their dynasty and attributes, not be so generic. I think the main reason I said what I did is that the Targaryens are pretty strong in every bookmark except Robert's Rebellion. They don't technically need any assistance whereas some of the other main houses are relatively weaker than they probably should be.

However, I get what you're saying and it makes even more sense if you're using the Legacy of Valyria which I think a lot of players are using. I can include them and after the next big update, I may make changes to their legacy depending on what I see with the update. My main thing is to be relatively consistent and balanced in my legacies, though I may fail at it sometimes (if you see an imbalance let me know!).
Savvy_Panda 10 hours ago
As a thought regarding Targaryens, since that legacy is more about being a Dragonriding house and the mod is slowly pushing more Eastward, would you reconsider doing it down the line? Dragonriding seems more a Valyrian thing in general and it's just that they really are one of the two last Dragonriding Houses that were left (I don't think Celtigar had any but not 100% sure; I know Velaryon did.) Maybe instead of dragonriding stuff have it focusing on conquering, martial and right-to-rule sort of stuff? There's also the King's Peace gameplay aspect which will come out in the next big update, so I feel like that might be something the Targaryens would have a bonus in. (Aerys and Rhaenyra didn't get that bonus)

This is all conjecture of course, and I'd honestly rather have you consider as something down the line. *Especially* because I love using this mod with Legacy of Valyria.
Eber  [author] 12 hours ago
@LemurKing So funny enough that's not my mod. It's the AGOT mod that decided that. My mod just adds a legacy track. I had to check to make sure.

@Savvy_Panda I'm actually already working on the Great Houses. Stark is done. I won't be doing Targaryen though for now since they have the dragon rider track. You're right that I want to put some good attention to them.

@DarkEagle7322 It is probably another mod. Make sure my mod is loaded last. That may correct any issues without going mod by mod.
DarkEagle7322 13 hours ago
Minor House Flavour mod has been removed from my mod list, and the problem persists.
Could another mod be causing this?
Savvy_Panda 13 hours ago
I do appreciate the cultural legacy tracks very much, but I also would like to see the Great Houses get their own too. It doesn't have to be immediate; I'm actually glad you focused on the Minor Houses first. It feels like you're test running with the Minor Houses and I guess you want to put a lot of care into the Great Houses since they have the most history (and attention.)
LemurKing 13 hours ago
I had "Royal Court for Dukes" and "Hands Off!" enabled, plus "More Dynasty Legacies - Break my Peacock Edition" disabled. I put this at the very bottom and it everything seems to be functioning now, although I still see stuff like the "Adventure" legacy for house Vance specifically. Was that intentional?
Eber  [author] 14 hours ago
@LemurKing What other mods do you have in your modlist? My modlist is pretty small so it could be a complication with another mod. What mods do you have after mine?
LemurKing 14 hours ago
Weird, I have your mod loaded later. Must be something sort of obscure, I'll let you know if I identify anything.
Eber  [author] 14 hours ago
@LemurKing So I just loaded up Legacy of Valyria with my mod. As long as you have my mod AFTER it, everything looks like it is working correctly. I was surprised to see conflicts mentioned since we edit different things and there are not much overlap. My cultures still show up. It does look like the other valyrian cultures added seem to include High Valyrian culture but other than that, I do not see any conflicts in the very short time I tested.
Eber  [author] 15 hours ago
@LemurKing I checked again and Corbray's MAA is correctly in tier 2. With your other issues, it definitely seems as though there are conflicts with the Legacy of Valyria mod. I'm not sure how that mod handles legacies and cultures but it does look like they change things from AGOT mod. Is my mod loaded after legacy of valyria? If not, try that to see.

@DarkEagle7322 It sounds like you have Minor House Flavour active in your mod list since both of those MAAs are part of that mod. That mod is not compatible with my mod and it is also broken in a few ways. I recommend removing that mod all together. Once you do, the MAAs should show up correctly.
DarkEagle7322 16 hours ago
Hi, great mod.

However, I'm having a problem with the maa because the ones from the mod aren't showing up.
For example,
- for the Reyne: the maa are Miner Militia

for the Mormont: the maa are Fishermen

Do you know why the wrong maa aren't showing up?
LemurKing 16 hours ago
Also, it seems that the Heartsworn Shields (Corbray) are still Tier 5, but I haven't checked without Legacy of Valyria active so there could be a conflict. Stuff like The Tower Guard are correctly at Tier 1 though.
LemurKing 16 hours ago
Not sure what you could do on your end, but some of the new stuff seems to not be working with Legacy of Valyria - House Drumm, Vance, Reed etc., are not getting their new dynasty tracks and instead have the Adventure or Pillage legacy tracks (from North Germanic heritage in vanilla CK3). Rhoynar and Andalosi cultures, meanwhile, have no new legacies at all.

No worries if this is more of a LoV problem than anything you can fix, just thought I'd mention it.
Eber  [author] 17 hours ago
@Lufian It has been updated now.

@Capo I totally get it. Hereditary traits are tricky though because they are pretty powerful in game. However, I did change it up some so some dynasties would get there hereditary traits either in 1 or 2. This includes Umber and Crakehall with their hale and strong traits, as well as the loyal trait for some houses that are known for their loyalty in the lore.

@Mirae I'll add it to my list to include but again I want to mention that Minor House Flavour hasn't been updated for a while so I do not recommend using it.

@Liberater Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it.

@Snoopiestcoder3 You're welcome! Hoare is an interesting dynasty and I'll be adding more flavor to them later on in forms of decisions or events.
Snoopiestcoder3 18 hours ago
Thank you for the House Salt flavor! Been extremely on/off about starting a playthrough as them but this is the motivation I needed
Liberater 18 Jul @ 4:30pm
just wanna say that I really love the little excerpts on the legacies, really feel immersive help get into the mood of the house I'm playing/add a little more flavor to each house
Mirae 18 Jul @ 2:53pm
@Eber I dont no, neither do I have the fix of that mod. Dunno from where else does the decision come from then (please add it lol)
Capo 18 Jul @ 9:40am
@Eber Oh that's cool then, but I do not want my views imposed to others so please be free to change your mind anytime !
For the traits distrubution, I was just thinking about somes Houses not having their hereditary blood trait directly and Houses like Dayne having Brave (at the start each time I checked), which I found strange. But I do not have particular examples in mind tho I'll let you know if I look upon something really out of context, no problems !
Lufian 18 Jul @ 9:23am
Oooh okay, now I understand
Eber  [author] 18 Jul @ 9:21am
@Lufian I have not yet updated the mod. It's coming soon.

@Capo So I won't be moving all MAA to first position after some thought. Depending on the dynasty, they are in 1,2, or 3. I agree that hereditary traits are a bit more important especially for certain houses. I've tried to keep that intact. Also, if you see some houses with uneven trait distribution, either by not having something you think it should or a trait they shouldn't, please let me know.

@Mr.Erodia If someone would like to do a French translation, be my guest!
Mr.Erodia 18 Jul @ 7:34am
French Translation ?
Capo 18 Jul @ 6:18am
I do understand the idea of moving all MMA in first position, but I'll just notice that some Houses loses to that idea : Umber, Mormont etc.... Houses that should have an hereditary (in my opinion) trait which is not unlocked at start. I always found that strange and awesome mod like yours help with that and immersion, but some legacy are uneven (just a notice that's not a negative criticism) in the traits distribution, in my opinion.
But the sheer numbers of legacy already in the mod astonish me so it's really a picky detail
Lufian 18 Jul @ 6:15am
It's the same of Reyne also
Lufian 18 Jul @ 5:27am
I noticed that not all of the MAA units have been moved to Legacy 1 or 2. Like House Tarth for example, their Sapphire Guard are still at legacy 5
Eber  [author] 18 Jul @ 1:41am
@Hidden Potential I know it's possible for certain things like events and decisions, but not sure about legacies. After some thought, I think I will just change the lore aspect to only include aspects that have happened before the first bookmark. There isn't as much lore to go on, but it'll be more RP friendly. Thanks for the suggestion.

My next update should be soon. I will include the updated lore for certain houses in the update. Just for expectations on the update:

1) a couple minor bug fixes
2) 9 new dynasty legacies and MAA units
3) All MAA units have been moved to legacy 1 or 2.
4) New special buildings for various dynasties including some of the new ones added.
Hidden Potential 17 Jul @ 5:32pm
Yeah I know what you mean and it really are nice legacies, I wont deny that! Like I said it's not gamebreaking if you look at it strictly.

I dont know if this is even possible, but maybe make it depend on the bookmark you choose? So like a variable legacy if you get what I mean. If you choose a bookmark after the Dance/Blackfyre rebellion and you get that flavour text and before you get a different one? I'm just thinking out loud

And regarding DehCard's comment. I just added this mod to my relatively huge modlist and I have no problems so it looks like a modconflict maybe?
Eber  [author] 17 Jul @ 5:10pm
@DehCard I need more information than that. I've been busy working on the new update but I did notice that AGOT updated on the 14th. I can still load this mod perfectly and it won't crash. What exactly happens when you crash? What bookmark are you in? Do you have other mods active in your modlist other than this and AGOT? Need to narrow it down so I can help fix a bug if there is one.

@Hidden Potential I appreciate the feedback. I've tried to keep it relatively "open" to ensure there isn't much of an RP leak like you mentioned. I can try to be more generic, it will just ruin some of the flavor unfortunately. Besides your two mentions, another good one is House Roxton. Bold Jon Roxton and really House Roxton became notorious due to the Dance of the Dragons and Bold Jon killing Hugh Hammer. I want that in the legacy, but again if you do an earlier bookmark, it tells a story that hasn't happened yet. So I'm still debating what to do.
Hidden Potential 17 Jul @ 4:37pm
I love this mod for the extra flavour. I have one objection though: The flavour for the Blackwoods and Brackens revolving around Bittersteel and Bloodraven can take someone a bit out of the RP sense of the mod. For example if you start in a bookmark before they were even born, it wouldnt make sense they still having any influence on a legacy.

Like I said earlier, it's not gamebreaking at all but maybe something to think about? Anyway, love the mod!
DehCard 17 Jul @ 3:06pm
This crashes my game after latest AGOT update
Capo 16 Jul @ 12:25pm
@Eber Oh okay, thanks !
Eber  [author] 16 Jul @ 12:17pm
@Liberater Good suggestion. I'll look into doing that.

@Capo So I don't recommend you use Minor House Flavour. It's broken for a few reasons. It's also not compatible with this mod. That is why you're getting issues.
Capo 16 Jul @ 11:43am
@Eber Oooh that's really cool then ! I agree that westerosi valyriens should have a more well, valyrian look. I'm glad that's a thing this cool submod do !

Also if used with Minor House Flavour, somes Houses do get their men at arms, others don't show, it's a little bit strange haha
But it seems that the mod you put above have the priority, I'm just saying for the notice
Liberater 16 Jul @ 10:38am
would also make a recommendation to put the men at arms from the dynasty legacies earlier instead of at the end since because most of the dynasties in game are already high levels of splendor/have prepicked legacies it takes an extremely long time to get the dynasty renown to get the additional 4-5 legacies to unlock the special men at arms
Eber  [author] 16 Jul @ 10:32am
@Dorito Sent a message.

@emmaf628 I'll add them to my list. Fossoway will be added in the next update.

@無壹 Thank you! I'll link it in the description.

@Capo Yes. For some reason, House Celtigar and House Scales did not have the strong seed for Valyrian even though they probably should. So in games, they would lose that Valyrian look after a generation or more. I included them in the strong seed so they wouldn't lose it as easily.
Capo 16 Jul @ 9:58am
Hello can I know what "New Strong Seeds, added to Valyrian houses such as House Celtigar and House Scales, enhancing the visual legacy of your bloodline." mean ?
Like they are more likely to have the classic valyrian look ?
無壹 15 Jul @ 10:28pm
@Eber Such a great mod!I want more Chinese player to use it, so I've translated it into Chinese, could you please add a link in description?

Here's my translation: https://steamproxy-script.pipiskins.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2965154314
emmaf628 15 Jul @ 2:37pm
Don't know if you're taking suggestions for more houses to add, but I would love to see content for Connington, Fossoway, and Penrose if you ever get the chance!
Dorito 15 Jul @ 2:00pm
@eber can you reach me on dm? Thank you in advance!
Eber  [author] 15 Jul @ 1:33pm
@Mirae Do you happen to have Minor House Flavour activated on your mod list? That was a decision in that mod. I don't have that decision in mine.
Mirae 15 Jul @ 10:57am
the Restore kingdom of arbor does nothing, it lets me activate it but then it just dissapears and nothing else is triggered/happening
Eber  [author] 15 Jul @ 6:32am
@John Omnissiah No, as whitewalkers are not part of the original AGOT mod. As far as I'm aware, only the mod The Long Night adds whitewalkers.
John Omnissiah 15 Jul @ 4:15am
Does this mod include the Whitewalkers?
Eber  [author] 14 Jul @ 6:01pm
@Ireeny I'll make some more edits of the pictures.

@Snoopiestcoder3 Yeah good idea, I'll add them for next update.

@Liberater So I should have the next update with Westerling done in a few days. It's a large update as it includes fixes and buildings.

@LemurKing Yeah for certain. Vance is on the list. I'll be filling out the map slowly. Also want to do Fossoway.
LemurKing 14 Jul @ 5:44pm
Hey Eber, I was just looking at the map you posted of which houses have content in this mod, and I realised there's a HUGE space in the middle of Westeros with no bonus content! I think it'd be interesting to look into some of the houses there, like house Vance!
Liberater 14 Jul @ 5:11pm
thinking of doing a westerling playthrough how soon will the content for them be added? will it be soon enough to just wait until then or take more time?
Snoopiestcoder3 14 Jul @ 2:06pm
Any chance you could add flavor for House Salt in the Iron Islands? They're a cadet branch of House Hoare and I'd love to do a run as them reclaiming the throne and invading the Riverlands
Ireeny 14 Jul @ 8:18am
@Eber The bottom one is a big improvement imo! But it's all personal preference in the end. I like art consistency, so that the MAA don't stand out from the vanilla ones too much. Personally I'd prefer generics or recolored generics. The CK3 artstyle is finicky. I do think the Dayne MAAs blend in well while still feeling special.
Eber  [author] 14 Jul @ 6:26am
https://i.imgur.com/W6mWekB.jpeg

So I did a mock up of what I can do. The top is the original image and the bottom is one I have edited more, specifically the noise. Does that look better/work?
Eber  [author] 14 Jul @ 12:05am
@Ireeny Thanks for the feedback. I will take a look at improving the images or find alternatives. I can also just use the standard images from the game. MHF for example only used a handful of custom images for their MAA and the rest were generic.
