And yeah, the Targaryens are kinda OP as long as they have dragons. I think that's what makes the whole Dance of Dragons or people trying to jump start their own interesting.
However, I get what you're saying and it makes even more sense if you're using the Legacy of Valyria which I think a lot of players are using. I can include them and after the next big update, I may make changes to their legacy depending on what I see with the update. My main thing is to be relatively consistent and balanced in my legacies, though I may fail at it sometimes (if you see an imbalance let me know!).
This is all conjecture of course, and I'd honestly rather have you consider as something down the line. *Especially* because I love using this mod with Legacy of Valyria.
@Savvy_Panda I'm actually already working on the Great Houses. Stark is done. I won't be doing Targaryen though for now since they have the dragon rider track. You're right that I want to put some good attention to them.
@DarkEagle7322 It is probably another mod. Make sure my mod is loaded last. That may correct any issues without going mod by mod.
Could another mod be causing this?
@DarkEagle7322 It sounds like you have Minor House Flavour active in your mod list since both of those MAAs are part of that mod. That mod is not compatible with my mod and it is also broken in a few ways. I recommend removing that mod all together. Once you do, the MAAs should show up correctly.
However, I'm having a problem with the maa because the ones from the mod aren't showing up.
For example,
- for the Reyne: the maa are Miner Militia
for the Mormont: the maa are Fishermen
Do you know why the wrong maa aren't showing up?
No worries if this is more of a LoV problem than anything you can fix, just thought I'd mention it.
@Capo I totally get it. Hereditary traits are tricky though because they are pretty powerful in game. However, I did change it up some so some dynasties would get there hereditary traits either in 1 or 2. This includes Umber and Crakehall with their hale and strong traits, as well as the loyal trait for some houses that are known for their loyalty in the lore.
@Mirae I'll add it to my list to include but again I want to mention that Minor House Flavour hasn't been updated for a while so I do not recommend using it.
@Liberater Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it.
@Snoopiestcoder3 You're welcome! Hoare is an interesting dynasty and I'll be adding more flavor to them later on in forms of decisions or events.
For the traits distrubution, I was just thinking about somes Houses not having their hereditary blood trait directly and Houses like Dayne having Brave (at the start each time I checked), which I found strange. But I do not have particular examples in mind tho I'll let you know if I look upon something really out of context, no problems !
@Capo So I won't be moving all MAA to first position after some thought. Depending on the dynasty, they are in 1,2, or 3. I agree that hereditary traits are a bit more important especially for certain houses. I've tried to keep that intact. Also, if you see some houses with uneven trait distribution, either by not having something you think it should or a trait they shouldn't, please let me know.
@Mr.Erodia If someone would like to do a French translation, be my guest!
But the sheer numbers of legacy already in the mod astonish me so it's really a picky detail
My next update should be soon. I will include the updated lore for certain houses in the update. Just for expectations on the update:
1) a couple minor bug fixes
2) 9 new dynasty legacies and MAA units
3) All MAA units have been moved to legacy 1 or 2.
4) New special buildings for various dynasties including some of the new ones added.
I dont know if this is even possible, but maybe make it depend on the bookmark you choose? So like a variable legacy if you get what I mean. If you choose a bookmark after the Dance/Blackfyre rebellion and you get that flavour text and before you get a different one? I'm just thinking out loud
And regarding DehCard's comment. I just added this mod to my relatively huge modlist and I have no problems so it looks like a modconflict maybe?
@Hidden Potential I appreciate the feedback. I've tried to keep it relatively "open" to ensure there isn't much of an RP leak like you mentioned. I can try to be more generic, it will just ruin some of the flavor unfortunately. Besides your two mentions, another good one is House Roxton. Bold Jon Roxton and really House Roxton became notorious due to the Dance of the Dragons and Bold Jon killing Hugh Hammer. I want that in the legacy, but again if you do an earlier bookmark, it tells a story that hasn't happened yet. So I'm still debating what to do.
Like I said earlier, it's not gamebreaking at all but maybe something to think about? Anyway, love the mod!
@Capo So I don't recommend you use Minor House Flavour. It's broken for a few reasons. It's also not compatible with this mod. That is why you're getting issues.
Also if used with Minor House Flavour, somes Houses do get their men at arms, others don't show, it's a little bit strange haha
But it seems that the mod you put above have the priority, I'm just saying for the notice
@emmaf628 I'll add them to my list. Fossoway will be added in the next update.
@無壹 Thank you! I'll link it in the description.
@Capo Yes. For some reason, House Celtigar and House Scales did not have the strong seed for Valyrian even though they probably should. So in games, they would lose that Valyrian look after a generation or more. I included them in the strong seed so they wouldn't lose it as easily.
Like they are more likely to have the classic valyrian look ?
Here's my translation: https://steamproxy-script.pipiskins.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2965154314
@Snoopiestcoder3 Yeah good idea, I'll add them for next update.
@Liberater So I should have the next update with Westerling done in a few days. It's a large update as it includes fixes and buildings.
@LemurKing Yeah for certain. Vance is on the list. I'll be filling out the map slowly. Also want to do Fossoway.
So I did a mock up of what I can do. The top is the original image and the bottom is one I have edited more, specifically the noise. Does that look better/work?
