Love the mod, is there a way that reduce the number of info logs in the debug? It's rapidly reaching the max message limit.
Filipino Goku 9 hours ago
Thank you for adding the mod option for changing the efficiency of electric fuel!
Drilled_Head  [author] 9 hours ago
QWETTRE : Did you read the instructions? You only need to install one power tank. It is compatible with any battery that is connected to the power tank by a wire.
QWETTRE 9 hours ago
The electric propulsion system offers extremely limited utility. Despite sacrificing significantly more space compared to chemfuel storage tanks and enduring lengthy charging times to utilize these batteries, the resulting range increase is only a paltry fraction of what chemfuel propulsion provides. The ship's power needs can be fully addressed by a few generators and some chemfuel, without requiring these massive battery banks that could be depleted during a single short voyage. It would be far more beneficial if compatibility with other high-capacity battery mods were added, or if a new, electricity-exclusive but vastly more efficient thruster were introduced. Otherwise, trading a huge amount of a starship's precious space for such minimal range gains is simply not a worthwhile trade-off.

天才般的点子:steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup:,有自定义选项后更舒适了。如果能设置使用优先级就更完美了。
saibher 10 hours ago
should the new hybrid power tank use components to craft like regular batteries?
Prophet 15 hours ago
kurwffle: the thrusters only use chemfuel
this mod makes it so they can use electricity instead
kurwaffle 16 hours ago
I’m confused. I already use Solar, batteries, and chemfuel for my gravship. What is the difference?
Drilled_Head  [author] 17 hours ago
koimono : Install a regular battery or a power bank, and connect the battery added by the mod. adjacent location or connect with a wire.
Drilled_Head  [author] 17 hours ago
Kowhaifan : First of all, your calculation is wrong. Electricity is obviously less efficient than chemical fuels. Second, electricity is electricity, so why should it only be used as fuel? I don't understand. Is there such a thing as electricity that can only be used as fuel? Third, the electricity cost compared to chemical fuels is 222.2f. Recalculate.

XXXII : Mod option added.
忘道人 : Yes.
Dollarstore_ramen : Mod option added.
The God : Mod option added.
theshadowscythe : also Yes.Work.
Ishchyaboi : Mod option added.
mango363 : Wouldn't it be faster for that modder to make a patch than for me to make one?
Hektar : ???
Benetrator - Beton : I dont know that why
XYM04689733 : Thank you

DOY the mod

The gravship battery building this mod adds does not work on the linux version of rimworld. i even cross referenced with windows and the said building appeared within the build menu. If you need logs i can provide them
Kowhaifan 19 Jul @ 7:29am
the amount of Wd (watt days) you need to be equivalent to one small chemfuel tank is 54,552 ([11/2400]/250) btw, so you could round it to 55k. The amount needed to be equivalent to one large chemfuel tank is 163655 ([11/2400]/750) Wd, i'll leave rounding that one to you lmao.

btw, dont know if this is a bug but the first power tank is a flat 1000 Wd to 1 fuel conversion rate (being a total of 24 fuel), but any subsequent power tanks are 2181.82 Wd to 1 fuel (being a total of 11 fuel). I dont really know why this happens or whether its intended or not, i just assumed it was intended in my calculations.
Kowhaifan 19 Jul @ 6:54am
maybe if you wanna keep the realism, you could make it have an option to make it so the energy fuel tank can store a power equivalent to 250 fuel, but can ONLY be used as fuel, not as normal power? then its still realistic (you require the same amount of fuel), but not completely unfeasible (i can not have half my shit be batteries), and still fair (you cant use it as a huge, cheap battery, since the power can only be used for the engines).
Kowhaifan 19 Jul @ 6:40am
nice mod, but dear god its so bad to use power. like it takes 10 fully charged power tanks (24k watts!) just to move TWELVE TILES! its SO BAD. One small chemfuel tank can move you 25 whole tiles, like its a really good mod works perfectly but DAMN being literally 95% worse is a bit much, could you make it adjustable???

good mod though, a big battery that is 3x3 (like the big chemfuel tank) would be nice if you feel like adding it.
XYM04689733 18 Jul @ 7:00pm
nice mod
Benetrator - Beton 18 Jul @ 1:05pm
Love the idea of the mod. Looking forward to having my ship powered by a nuclear reactor like in Ostranauts. There's a slight bug I noticed: after each launch, all electronic devices get connected to the closest battery instead of the wall they're placed on, leading to a lot of cables going through my ship. It's just a cosmetic thing but maybe there's a fix for it. Thanks!
Hektar 18 Jul @ 9:42am
I'm currently getting the following error/stack trace. Seem that the PowerTank def can't be found.
I've reinstalled the mod twice. I've also removed any `.xml.bak` files I found floating around based on the possibility that perhaps the game was parsing those files. Nothing seems to have made a difference.

`Could not resolve cross-reference to Verse.ThingDef named PowerTank`

(Not enough room for the full stack trace, sorry.)
mango363 18 Jul @ 9:20am
Any chance you could make this compatible with the different sized pilot consoles from the Mini Gravships mod? Great mod, ty
Ishchyaboi 17 Jul @ 6:25pm
Is there, mechanically, a way to change the fuel efficiency? I'd actually prefer if chemfuel is (somehow) more efficient than pure power to preserve the necessity for chemfuel.
Filipino Goku 16 Jul @ 3:49am
This is such a cool mod!
theshadowscythe 16 Jul @ 2:54am
I just found a fuel optimiser in my game so I have to ask - does it reduce the amount of electricity needed per flight as it would chemfuel?

(I'm running pure battery powered flight in my game)
The God 15 Jul @ 11:57am
Could we get an option to change it so power is first and then it would use chemfuel? To save on it cause power is easier to get in most cases
Dollarstore_ramen 15 Jul @ 11:48am
It'd be nice to have a menu to modify the conversion rate of electric to chemfuel.
Thesirite 15 Jul @ 11:38am
Doesn't function. great idea if i could get to work. it does provide red error log.
忘道人 15 Jul @ 7:34am
Do we have to place it near the console
XXXII 15 Jul @ 6:56am
我的天呐,两个占地这么大的电池才节省了10单位的燃料,作者赶紧修复吧QWQ
你的模组很棒,但是由于不恰当的数值导致其没有任何实用价值
Drilled_Head  [author] 15 Jul @ 6:19am
Digby : The conversion rates are based on chemfuel generators.
Digby 15 Jul @ 5:27am
That power to chemfuel conversion rate is atrocious
Makes the whole thing basically pointless
XXXII 15 Jul @ 2:45am

UltraEmailMan 15 Jul @ 1:17am
Weird. They didn't show up in my game at all. The batteries functioning as extra fuel worked fine. Maybe Steam messed up the download. I'll try again tomorrow.
Drilled_Head  [author] 14 Jul @ 9:40pm
Pickle Rick : This is because electricity has lower energy calorific value than fuel. For every 10 fuels, two power tanks need to be fully charged. This part is scheduled for a later patch.
Pickle Rick 14 Jul @ 9:25pm
I tried using the power tanks on their own but console keeps telling me that I have no fuel.
Drilled_Head  [author] 14 Jul @ 4:32pm
UltraEmailMan : <li>BasicGravtech</li>
Marmot : work. But Requires installation of one or more vanilla batteries or power banks.
Marmot 14 Jul @ 3:28pm
does this work with modded batteries?
UltraEmailMan 14 Jul @ 11:40am
How does one acquire the power tanks? I can't seem to find them in any of the menus or research tabs.
doo6474 14 Jul @ 3:57am
매우 좋은 모드라고 생각함 ㅇㅇ
Emilie Sackenball 14 Jul @ 1:34am
@Consigned to Oblivion well in most SciFi universes we can see only nuclear have enough punch to feed these ships or fission
URANINITERESIDUE 13 Jul @ 9:40am
also used new energy (
Consigned to Oblivion 13 Jul @ 9:20am
The PPC from Rimatomics would make most sense, if you have PPCs that power laser weapons, you either have tons of power, enough to power a spaceship, or you literally built a nuclear reactor on your ship...
Drilled_Head  [author] 13 Jul @ 8:39am
Now when installing batteries and powertanks, it is compatible with all batteries added to the mod via the connected power grid.
Cpt. Yossarian 13 Jul @ 8:34am
Dubs rimatomics has batteries that would be great to add compatibility for!
Ellias 13 Jul @ 3:55am
Is it possible to make it powerable by vanometric power cells and other non-battery power supplies? Otherwise, pretty cool.
Consigned to Oblivion 13 Jul @ 3:52am
I suppose support for vanilla furniture expanded power and rimatomics' PPC would be first on the list?
