is there a minion mad to make them stay alive untill another unit kills them?

I know he doesn't have an upgrade. The manticore looks terrible now and removing his wings doesn't fix it.

I've already made a Manticore mod ( Wingless Manticore ) and a Medusa mod ( Medusa Upgrade ), the later is included in my Myth Unit Upgrade Pack .

The Manticore doesn't have an upgrade except for Sun Ray, which affects all archer, so it has no need for a re-texture. I am working on another Manticore project though, stay tuned.

Can you please make also a retexture of the manticore and medusa?

I officially consider this mod complete and do not plan to update it any further.

Minotaur Upgrade is up:

I was just thinking, the Monkey King walks on all four, so maybe for his walka he should have his staff/attachpoint on the back :) Anyway, just a suggestion obvs

In case you're running out of ideas... ;)
1) Bull Minotaur Upgrade: Bigger horns attached to Topofhead plus maybe a small texture upgrade. You might not even have to remove the default horns if the upgraded ones are big enough to overlay them.
2) Monkey King, Golden-Banded Staff Upgrade: Add Righthand attachpoint to give him a staff :) You'd have to add Righthand manually to all 5-6 animations but then the rest is easy (just add Kastor's staff or something).

Love it!! Great job!

I've added some mummy wrappings on the face, so it looks more like a mummy's head now. I might have to add a bit more though.

I'm nearing completion with this one.

Great texture. One last thing though: his skin colour looks way too healthy for the undead :) Try to make it more greyish like the original Mummy?
Nick3069  [author] 8 Aug, 2016 @ 9:11am
Yes, I whitened it at the time, but not enough, it looks better now.
Android 8 Aug, 2016 @ 2:20am
Actually, I'm thinking I preferred it without any crooks at all :-D Even the one in the right hand sits a little awkward with the animations and I think I'd prefer it to resemble the Mummy more than a mini Osiris :) Maybe that's just me though.

Anyway, did you whiten out the player colour spots in the crown's texture? Otherwise it'll be darker.
Nick3069  [author] 7 Aug, 2016 @ 4:39pm
You're right, 1 is enough. The 2 crooks were meant to represent the crook and flail, but it was more of a temporary solution anyway. I hadn't figured out how to apply player color to a model yet. I've just figured it out.
Yes, the feathers on the crown does make a nice place for player color, but it's a little dark at the momment.
Android 7 Aug, 2016 @ 1:23pm
Hmmm how about only one crook, like the Pharaoh? Two seems a little overkill, and they're a little awkward with some of their animations.

Player colour might be best suited on the head. There are some darker areas to the side of the Atef Crown that would look nice in colour. If you're having trouble applying colour there it's probably because the material needs player colour in AMP (I believe that's PixelXForm1).

Yeah I just stumbled across firelight and goldlight (wonders, relics etc), too. Makes sense for the fire units but the green glow is just odd IMO. Great find though, I'll post this on AOMH :) I'll mention your name of course

I think ES had dynamic lights in their early alpha/betas but then they probably switched it off for release. Skybox just put it back on without having their content creators really thinking it through, I guess.
Nick3069  [author] 7 Aug, 2016 @ 7:14am
Mummy and Shade aren't the only ones, Phoenix and Fire Giant have something similar: +firelight.
It's new because the old version of the game didn't have dynamic lights and shadows.
Also, I haven't been able to modify the mummy's gleen glow, so I'll just remove it.
Android 7 Aug, 2016 @ 7:07am
Thanks man that glow has really bugged me for quite a while :-D
Android 7 Aug, 2016 @ 7:02am
Great find!!

I checked and the only MU DCLs with lights are those of Mummy and Shade. It wasn't there in Vanilla and it feels odd to me (and I've heard people complaining about it in the forums) so I'll definitely remove it for my own mods =)
Nick3069  [author] 7 Aug, 2016 @ 6:33am
I've figured it out!
The glow effect is a new feature of .dcl files, the files to set selection circles and shadows in pre-AoM:EE.
Since Ihad not made one yet for the mummy upgrade model, the glow wasn't there.
I don't hate the glow, but I think it's a little too intense, especially when there is a large group of mummies. I'll try tweaking it.
Nick3069  [author] 7 Aug, 2016 @ 5:08am
@Android
Removing the green glow was an unintentional side effect. I don't know how the green glow works, maybe it's from removing the base mummy's head? I'll look into it.

Not sure about a compilation mod, it seems redundant and I like to let pick and chose what they want. Maybe.
Android 7 Aug, 2016 @ 4:20am
How did you remove that obnoxious green glow from the upgraded version? My guess is that it's hardcoded to certain model names... I don't know what the AoM:EE devs were thinking, because that glow wasn't there in the original game and it's certainly totally out of sync with any other MU. (Same with Hades Shades.) Maybe you can remove it from the base mummy, too, by renaming its model?

At some point you should bundle your work into an MU Upgrades Pack :)

Very promising :)
