And regarding obstacles, these tracks are more in the way of recreations of the racing realms than actual distance tracks; any obstacles they have will be in tune to the "challenge" of the realm, and I am currently working on an updated version of the Water Realm with all the obstacles removed, to improve the overall aesthetic and give them more of a focused feeling. I will, of course, add more cutaways, in order to shift the challenge of the track.
Below:On the cavern realm
It is REQUIRED you redo that one because it doesn't look that good, albeit being a faithful and true design. Dubs on that.
I just have a few minor points:
-The checkpoint after the first long wall ride starts is facing the wrong way
-one part near the ball of lightning shoots too much lightning. I know, storm realm and all that, but I had some difficulty seeing when the camera was shaking that violently. I'm not saying remove the lighting, just spread it out some more so it's not so densely packed in that on section.
-This may just be a case of me needing to git gud, but that flip from wallride back to the ground after exiting the ball of lightning throws me every time, and I find it easier to just let it fling me off and use the thrusters to skip a section of the track and slowly nudge myself back on shortly before the path splits and criss-crosses in that ceiling ride.
Some Criticism: Some checkpoints face backwards; Once you get detroyed the speed bonus you get in the drome at the start no longer applies to you, making the track feel tedious because you go so slow.
So I wasn't the only one that played this game and immediately thought of Acceleracers?
still a good track though, smoother than the other version i personally believe
I won't be able to check it out for a few weeks but am looking forward to it :)
