@HEX: JUICER @Blindside - Another reason players may not be able to join the Convoy is if they haven't accepted the terms for joining Convoys (it's a dialog box that shows up when opening the Convoy browser). Again not my fault, but poor error communication from the user interface. I didn't design that, so don't direct your blame to me
Drive Safely  [author] 17 Jul @ 5:28pm
@HEX: JUICER @Blindside - It has not "broken" Convoy multiplayer. I can use it in Convoy just fine because it's supported for Convoy multiplayer.

Like what Dragon32 said, what most likely happened is someone was using a different version of the mod in Convoy. When downtime is forgotten for your Convoy sessions to update mods, this is the sort of thing that eventually happens.

If you don't want version mismatch errors, the mod also works for Convoy sessions with the optional mod setting enabled, and the Sound Fixes Pack supports this setting. So when there's already solutions you can't blame me for updating.

Also, how could I know when your convoy was scheduled? You didn't inform me beforehand. You didn't complain about this to me previously, and that's because I don't always update at the same hour, therefore the same time zones on the planet are not inconvenienced by an update too many times
Dragon32 17 Jul @ 4:05pm
@Blindside
Maybe learn to use copies of mods installed locally rather than those from the Workshop? Then everyone will be in control of which version is used and can synchronise.
Blindside 17 Jul @ 3:23pm
Thank you for updating your mod it completely broke my convoy and took me hours to fix. Take this shit off the Workshop.
HEX: JUICER 17 Jul @ 3:23pm
Doesnt work anymore. Broke convoy. Removed it and it fixed lmao

@pkadia01 - The game doesn't currently differentiate between concrete and asphalt in terms of sound, unfortunately :hittheroad:
pkadia01 15 Jul @ 11:31am
I don't hear any concrete noises when I drive on concrete overpasses, bridges, or roads.
Drive Safely  [author] 14 Jul @ 2:29am
@Tattoo Willi - Thanks for the explanation. My mod changes the default/fallback air brake and parking brake sound.

If a mod is using its own set of air & parking brake sounds, I don't modify that. This is because I like to keep compatibility with truck mods and sound mods

Drive Safely  [author] 14 Jul @ 1:44am
@Tattoo Willi - What do you mean?
Tattoo Willi 14 Jul @ 1:24am
Can you add Dom's 379 please?
Drive Safely  [author] 12 Jul @ 3:08pm
@🐾𝓢𝓱𝓪𝓭𝓸𝔀💖 - You're welcome :)
Thanks for the update. :GravityCat::armchair::kopi:

Hi all,

For those wondering, the mod is already compatible is Iowa DLC. I just finished a run to there. So there is no mod update needed from me for now. :letsgo:
Atwis 9 Jul @ 4:46pm
Hmm dont really have any other sound mods, I'm pretty sure it changed after this mod, okay then I will remove it some of these days
to doublecheck
Drive Safely  [author] 9 Jul @ 3:23pm
@Atwis - You might have commented on the wrong mod? This mod doesn't modify the player truck's engine/jake brake sound
Atwis 9 Jul @ 12:14pm
Hey dude, I really like the game default Engine Break, is there a way /something I can do to replace only that back to default?
Drive Safely  [author] 6 Jul @ 2:53pm
@BWB (rocketbunny) - Thank you for the kind words :)
sgt.memorialglow 6 Jul @ 7:02am
This is great news. Your modification is great and really brings a lot to the gameplay if one pays attention to all the details. Thank you
Drive Safely  [author] 5 Jul @ 3:16pm
@BWB (rocketbunny) - You can still use it. I have included v25.24 for if you use game version 1.54, since v25.28.1 is not backwards compatible with 1.54.

The Steam Workshop description reflects the latest version of my mod. But in the Mod Manager you'll see 1.54 mentioned in the description. :)

When I eventually drop support for previous game versions, I mention it in the change notes
sgt.memorialglow 5 Jul @ 9:46am
Is backward compatibility supported? I'm using game version 1.54 and for the moment I don't want to change it, hence my question if I can safely use modifications on my game version?
Drive Safely  [author] 3 Jul @ 2:37am
@Azuirele - Thanks so much :D
Azuirele 3 Jul @ 2:33am
Great work as usual on refreshing AI Traffic and environment sound. Keep up the great work :steamhappy:
Drive Safely  [author] 2 Jul @ 3:44am
@GamerGuy1045 - Hello, the mod was updated and made compatible for 1.55 in advance. This is why it was already compatible even before the 1.55.1.1 update :)
GamerGuy1045 2 Jul @ 3:39am
Hello! Please update mod for version 1.55 ASAP. Thank you!
Drive Safely  [author] 29 Jun @ 2:05pm
@Bleru - Awesome to hear you're having a good experience with the mod :)
Bleru 29 Jun @ 11:49am
I like the sounds, they're considerable better than the default ones, the nokia tune surprised me the first time I heard it
Drive Safely  [author] 24 Jun @ 3:41am
@菠萝吹雪 - I'm happy you like it :)
菠萝吹雪 24 Jun @ 3:29am
perfect
Drive Safely  [author] 18 Jun @ 4:35pm
@lbjlifestyle - No worries. Let me know if it stops working again, just in case if it's an FMOD limit issue
lbjlifestyle 18 Jun @ 4:34pm
im sorry to waste your time ...i just came back on the game and its working again .....idk anyways thanks for responding
Drive Safely  [author] 18 Jun @ 3:01pm
@lbjlifestyle - Strange, the sounds are working on my end. Are you sure you're not using a trailer mod that has not been updated for that sound feature?
lbjlifestyle 18 Jun @ 11:55am
hey just letting you know there's no sound when sliding tandems
Drive Safely  [author] 17 Jun @ 2:20pm
1.55 support has been added, and in a fairly short time too! :letsgo:
Drive Safely  [author] 25 May @ 5:21pm
@DogHouse28 - Glad to be of assistance. Have a good one! :steerme:
DogHouse28 25 May @ 4:30pm
OK, thanks for that, Set game volume 100%, eternal engine, exhaust, turbo, effects 85% and internal volume 30%. final mix down on monitor system. Wonky hearing, like the rest of me, crumbling to bits. Don't drive in real life no more, so I wouldn't miss this for the world:steamhappy:
Drive Safely  [author] 25 May @ 2:25pm
@DogHouse28 - The sound volume of the indicator sound is configurable with the Interior sounds volume slider in the Audio Settings
DogHouse28 25 May @ 1:39pm
I'm A bit long in the tooth now,and I only have partial hearing in my right ear, augmented with a hearing aid (right ear tinnitus sounds like I got the cab window open at 65 mph) The aid boosts frequencies 1500 to 5000 khz. Makes the in cab indicator "tock tick" too loud for me. Is there a volume adjustment for it some where?
Drive Safely  [author] 25 May @ 4:45am
@Mr Demon Gamer - I already consider that for convoys. We've been through over 100 days of 2025 and I have not updated the mod even close to that amount this year.

Furthermore if you allow optional mods on your dedicated server it's not a pain at all, since there shouldn't be a version match check in that case
Mr Demon Gamer 25 May @ 4:33am
Can you stop updating every day please because it's a pain for the convoy and dedicated server
Drive Safely  [author] 15 May @ 2:47pm
@shimsham29 - It would be a cool effect but the game's master mixer would have to be changed, and mods currently can't edit that on the fly. :(

Potentially it can work with pre-recorded music but that would be missing the point of listening to the live radio
shimsham29 15 May @ 11:27am
Someone last week at the trucksim subreddit asked if there is a mod that could make the in-game radio sound more like it is coming from the truck, kind of like how your nav voices are. I don't know if this is even possible but if it is, I figure you're the person who could do it and that it'd probably be a neat immersive addition to the game.
Drive Safely  [author] 13 May @ 10:31pm
@Plainolalex - No errors found on my end. You likely have a different tire sound mod in use :hittheroad:
Plainolalex 13 May @ 8:59pm
getting sound ref errors on rumble strip and few others.
Griffin [GER] 10 May @ 10:11pm

Danke @Drive Safely

Thank God my daily prayers at bedtime were answered; that's finally been changed. I haven't been playing the new patch yet, but from what I'm reading, the upcoming patch v25.18 for ATS is coming. All I can say is, train brakes. I'm excited.

But thanks anyway, @DriveSafely
Legendkiller456 9 May @ 6:23pm
Gotcha, thank you!
Drive Safely  [author] 9 May @ 6:22pm
@Legendkiller456 - It is designed to be safely removable and not damaging, in that you don't need to revert to prior saves.

In the case you forget to remove custom air horn accessories on the truck before choosing to remove the mod, you can just put a stock accessory in its place without needing to lose progress
Red Wolf 9 May @ 5:57pm
it's mod. it won't mess with anything. you take it out, you'll hear the stock sounds
Legendkiller456 9 May @ 5:47pm
This attaches to the save file right? I want to try this, but don't want to mess up the profile if I choose to remove it. I assume I can safely remove and revert back to a prior save before I added it?
Elson 5 May @ 11:36pm
Thanks for updating!
