The death of the Emperor has left the galaxy in disarray - command one of 9 playable factions as they strive to establish themselves as the next galactic power, with an array of new units, heroes, planets and scenarios with extra story-driven content, and new mechanics inspired by 4X and Grand Strategy titles. New and updated content is added monthly.

In addition to Thrawn's Revenge, we make a Clone Wars mod with similar features, Fall of the Republic.

In Empire at War: Expanded, the traditional Empire at War tech level is traded for an era-based system that impacts different story events, factions, unit rosters and heroes are available, with the galaxy set up to recreate various conflicts within the Star Wars Legends lore after Endor. There are also new government mechanics where you can help elect the next New Republic Chief of State to gain different advantages (with other government styles coming over each patch), along with a planet loyalty system, giving extra income, unique units, and other bonuses at high levels, but with other negative effects if your member worlds become too unhappy with your leadership.

Running the Mod

To play: After subscribing, make sure to let the download finish (see your Steam download manager, it'll say at the bottom of your Steam client), then launch Forces of Corruption. Once ingame, go to the Options menu, then Mods, and enable it from there.

If the game doesn't re-launch when you enable the mod ingame, or you want to just directly launch into the mod, go to the properties for Empire at War in Steam and paste the following into launch options:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\32470\1125571106
And rename the MasterTextFile_English.dat to MasterTextFile_YourLanguage.dat

Hapes, Hutts and New Republic simply got them first. All other factions will get them in 3.5 but there's no news on when that will release.

There really needs to be intervention missions for each faction instead of just Hapes, Hutts and NR, Is that even possible to make as a submod?

Anytime I try to host a game for my friend he gets stuck at 0% loading forever. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Assuming this is the same issue you're having, if you win the ground battle the planet stays in the hands of whoever owned it first and you more or less get nothing, but the game *should* start running as normal. However, if that same planet gets invaded again by anyone other than you, the exact same issue/bug will kick in where the game will semi-freeze, the game'll try to pull you into another ground battle, etc. If we did run into the exact same bug, I'd highly recommend winning the ground battle (you might have to reload the autosave multiple times to get a ground battle where you get to control at least one of the free militia units) and as soon as the game starts running like normal, immediately secure the planet in question with either a dummy-thicc fleet and/or a well-optimized ground army with all the base defenses possible. If this doesn't help and everything I said above is useless, then I deeply and genuinely apologize and hope you're able to find a solution soon!

Hi Zann! I had a similar issue playing as the New Republic in one of the later eras where the game semi-froze, but was still able to move my cursor around. What ended up happening was the game was attempting to drag me into a ground battle on a planet which was controlled by a different faction being invaded by another different faction (I had neither a fleet nor a ground army anywhere near it). I was able to load an autosave to actually get the option to play the ground battle in question to load (not sure why autosave isn't working for you). It was really weird bc it was a three-way between the Hutts, Greater Maldrood, and me as the NR, while the only units I could control once loading in were the free little militia units that you randomly get which I could use to cap a point and bring in reinforcements (which again, was really weird bc I could call on half of the total ground units in an army which was nowhere near the planet).

I was wondering if anyone has had the same issue, everything froze at week/cycle 522 while playing the New Republic, era 7. I recently conquered N'Zoth. I am able to move the cursor around the screen, but not able to do anything else, the entire game froze. I have tried loading from previous saves, auto save, but nothing seems to work, it crashes right at the same time regardless of how I change my tactics.

Any ideas on how to resolve?

I'm getting an xml parse error and the game won't launch. I don't have any other mods installed. Anyone else with this issue?
