HUE,Vietnam 越 南 顺 化 [Map]

The map is based on the Huế Campaign, one of the most brutal urban warfare battles experienced by the US military. The overall size is approximately one - fifteenth of the actual Huế City, but it tries to restore the most important positions and landmarks in the campaign (and includes scenes from Rising strom Vietnam and Military Conflict: Vietnam's Huế Campaign as a tribute). During the production, a large amount of rework was carried out due to AI path - finding and mod building compatibility issues (however, there are still a large number of unsolvable problems and errors).

This map mainly focuses on restoring historical battles and landmarks, so the playing experience is not given top priority. There may be various path - finding errors and bugs that affect the experience during gameplay. Please understand (if you need to use this map to create a mission, try not to place any ground vehicles with AI. The narrow alleys and poor path - finding will get them stuck or even make them move in the opposite direction!!!).

The mod assets in the map and the mission are not owned by me personally. Some mods have not been updated for a long time, which may cause some gameplay problems. I can't solve these kinds of problems.

Since a suitable NLF flag could not be found, all NLF/NVA flags are replaced by NVA flags.



The following is the process of the Huế Campaign corresponding to this map:

Campaign 1: Assult from the Jungle
Early morning, January 30, 1968
The North Vietnamese Army approached the Imperial City of Huế from west to east through the Linh Mu Pagoda and the jungle. They made contact with the Viet Cong around the city and together attacked the city through the west gate, quickly occupying the western part of the city.

Campaign 2: Invasion of ARVN Main Base
Morning, January 30, 1968
The North Vietnamese Army and the Viet Cong attacked the Tay Loc Airport from the northwest corner of the city and launched a fierce attack on the camp of the 1st Division of the South Vietnamese Army, the helicopter airfield, and the headquarters.

Campaign 3: Occupation of the New district
Early morning, January 30, 1968
The North Vietnamese Army and the Viet Cong attacking from the southwest direction successively occupied the railway station, the Thừa Thiên Province Command, and released the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong criminals imprisoned in the Huế Prison. Later, they attacked and occupied the Quốc Học High School in Huế and the provincial hospital. Finally, they engaged in a fierce battle with the US and South Vietnamese troops at the Consulate of the Republic of China at the six - way intersection.

Campaign 4: Siege of MACV
Morning, February 13, 1968
The North Vietnamese Army and the Viet Cong launched a fierce attack on the MACV headquarters in Huế. The supplies, artillery, and air support that the US military received from the LCU landing point helped it successfully defend the base. Then，the US military began a counter - offensive plan and finally occupied the Thừa Thiên Province headquarters.

Campaign 5: Reclaiming Huế City
Morning, February 16, 1968
This campaign is based on the Huế Campaign in Battlefield Vietnam, basically centered around the battles in the eastern part of the Imperial City.

Campaign 6: Recapturing the Palace
Morning, February 23, 1968
As most of the urban areas of Huế were recaptured, the US and South Vietnamese troops launched a general attack on the Imperial Palace of Huế. This campaign ended with the victory of the US and South Vietnamese troops, and the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese troops withdrew in an orderly manner, bringing the brutal Huế Campaign to an end.

地图基于美军所经历的最残酷的巷战战役-顺化战役制作，整体尺寸约为实际顺化市的十五分之一，但尽量还原了战役中最重要的位置与地标（并加入了致敬风起云涌2及军事冲突：越南的顺化战役场景）。制作中因为ai寻路与mod建筑兼容问题进行了大量返工（但仍然存在大量无法解决的问题与错误）。

此地图主要以还原历史战役和地标为主，所以并未将游玩体验放在第一位，游玩中可能出现各种寻路错误和影响体验的bug，请谅解（如果你需要用这张图制作任务，请尽量不要放置任何有ai的地面载具，狭窄的小巷和糟糕的寻路会将他们卡住甚至向反方向移动！！！）

地图和任务中的模组资产非我个人所有，部分模组长时间未更新，可能造成一点游玩问题，这类问题我无法解决

因为无法找到合适的NLF旗帜，所以所有NLF/NVA的旗帜都由NVA旗帜代替。


以下是此地图匹配的顺化战役流程：

战役1：从丛林进攻
30/1/1968 凌晨
北越军由西向东接近顺化皇城，穿过灵姥寺和丛林并与城市周遭的越共接应，一同由西城门攻入城市，并快速占领了城市西侧。

战役2：入侵南越军主基地
30/1/1968 清晨
北越军和越共由城市西北角攻入泰禄机场，并发起了对南越军第一师营地、直升机机场及指挥部的猛烈进攻

战役3：占领新城区
30/1/1968 凌晨
西南方向进攻的北越军与越共依次占领了火车站、承天省指挥部，并释放了顺化监狱关押的北越和越共罪犯，后攻入顺化国学中学并占领省医院，最后于六岔路口的中华民国领事馆与美军及南越军队发生激战

战役4：MACV之围
13/2/1968 清晨
北越军和越共针对顺化的MACV总部发起了猛烈袭击，美军从LCU登陆点得到的补给和火炮及空中支援帮助其成功守住基地，随后美军开始了反攻计划，并最终占领了承天省总部。

战役5：收回顺化市
16/2/1968 上午
此战役基于风起云涌2越南的顺化战役制作，基本围绕皇城东部的战斗

战役6：夺回顺化皇宫
23/2/1968 上午
随着顺化大部分城区被夺回，美军和南越军开始发起对顺化皇宫的总攻，此战役以美军和南越军胜利，越共及北越有序撤退收尾，结束了残酷的顺化战役。
