FORGES OF DORN: Black Carapace Overhaul
Space Marine HUD and Armor System
STATUS: STABLE
Forges of Dorn: Black Carapace Overhaul seeks to take the Original Test version of Black Carapace HUD and elevate it to the next level by not just fixing and improving what's already there; but also Adding MORE new features into the mix.

What's New?
  • TFAR integration Items (SR & LR), and notification system (Display who is speaking within your squad/Long-range)[(Requires TFAR)]

  • Nametag System
  • More Unit support like: Sister of Battle and Kasrkin
  • Battle Order Menu
  • New Crosshairs
  • Nav-map (GPS Display)
  • Backpack Powers: Tech-marine repair, Squad Teleporter, Tier-based speed increase and TFAR deploy-able relay station [(Requires TFAR)]
  • Custom CTAB Integration (WH40K Styled)
  • New icons for the Auspex HUD, including air targets
  • All new Iron Halo Tiers: Bronze, Silver and Gold
  • New Armor Tiers for Scout, Relic and Artificer
  • HUD elements have been improved: (Smaller, less intrusive HUD elements, including percentages for armor health)
  • Magboot lock (Locks movement in exchange for a large reduction in recoil, damage and an increase in reload speed)
  • Automatic Combat Stim To keep you alive in combat (ACE3/KAT compatible!)
  • Variable Auspex Range stats for each armor mark
What was present in the original version?
  • Helmet visor overlay that adapts to lighting conditions
  • Different visor when the helmet is broken
  • You can define different texture filepaths for the visors if you want to make your own
  • Helmet visor moves slighty based on your viewangle
  • Limb armor condition and shield system
  • Damage Threshold (Value is deducted from incoming damage)
  • Working indicators for limb armor and shield condition
  • Particle effects when shield is hit
  • Individually customizable limbs armor values for every power armor mark
  • Individually customizable animation speed for every power armor mark
  • Individually customizable recoil suppression for every power armor mark
  • HUD boot up sequence
  • Low light vision mode with adjustable light sensitivity
  • Auspex / Threat detector that shows friendlies, enemies, civilians and group members in different colors
  • Adjustable range for Auspex / Threat detector
  • HUD message system
  • Ammo, rangefinder, bearing display
  • Almost everything is customizable, change the visor transparency, the indicators color etc
  • Zeus modules (Requires ZEN)
  • Works on AI units (They have to be wearing the armor when they get spawned in for the script to start or have the zeus module to set armor levels used on them)
  • Terminator support!

LOTS OF SETTNGS!
Everything in the mod is very configurable; from texture-sets to cooldowns and much mores, This can all be found in the CBA_A3 provided Addon settings, ensuring balance without sacrificing immersion.

How to access the Battle order menu? Its allowed in the settings, but it is not working still.

Totally forget to mention in last patch's update we reworked the TFAR radio textures a bit to make them a bit easier to look at; based on community feedback.

Also fully understanding if it's just a weird issue with mod compatibility. Was just curious if anyone has found a fix.

We've done all that. Respawn, exact kit, same modlist. Even tried quitting out and back in. No dice so far. Mind you, this is the exact same problem we had with the default Black Carapace as well.

I do have a second question though: How does the stim work? I've turned on the auto-stim, take damage enough to get ACE wounds, yet it doesn't seem to do anything. Am I missing an item I need to be carrying in my inventory?

@Stryker We are not interested in supporting ACRE at this time. We may add support later but we are focusing on bug fixes etc. Neither Phen's unit nor the Fists use ACRE, so it's out of our realm of experience. The rest of the mod functions fine without TFAR.
