Vow Of Valor - Vanguard Frigate

Description

The Vow of Valor was cobbled together from the damaged parts of downed military hulls and outlaw salvage. It was never meant to exist, let alone lead, however, it became an inspiring spearheard of any rebellious battle. It's angular frame bears the scars and scorch marks of countless skirmishes, but it remains steadfast and strong.

Engineers and insurgents toiled in secret to forge the ship, designing it not only to survive the rebellion, but to inspire it. Its massive spinal railgun, retrofitted from a salvaged MRC capital ship, serves as both weapon and symbol: a defiant middle finger pointed at the tyrants that oppress Yrna-3. When The Vow charges, others follow.

Unlike sleek MRC cruisers, The Vow of Valor thrives in grit and chaos. Its interior is somewhat cramped, functional, and raw, filled with the low hum of exposed wiring and dangerous fuel aboard. While the railgun is capable of firing, it does take a toll on the ship's somewhat outdated electric system, needing to open up vents to dissipate excess heat.

Every fleet that sees her yellow prow break through the void knows what it means: the front line is here and now, and the rebels are not backing down.
The Vow of Valor doesn’t just fight - it defies.

Thank you so much for the kind words!

@Auren
Thank you -- I struggled a bit finding a proper subgrid angle and combo I liked and was happy with the result

@Reavvr
yoo thanks reavvr, when's the new rec ship cookin?

@Ronin
Thanks for the feedback.
The ship's interior is completely packed and I couldn't fit anything else. I wanted a cozy interior for the crew, otherwise yes you can make only a bridge, o2 cry and basics and that'd be that.
The ship was not meant to be atmospheric though, hydrro is faster and cheaper and in the lore it fit better!

Nice work , friendly, a lot of unused space, some battery will be finished on first hit, power is a lot of importance should be protected.... and in the middle of the ship, as well as a lot of hydro thrusts ...but... what you do not need on this ship for space...as you risk explosion on 20 tanks you have no even one ION thrust, is it for planetary or space surviving? as I do not thinks so you can land on 1 G planet example by arranged thrusts on this ship....hydro is mostly practical in small number for maneuvering in space but actually as stronger of all is for planetary manuring....not space only as secondary....no so much ICE in space....so why so many hydro thrusts, whatever....nice ship need to be changed and can be useful, shape is nice as hex cylinder shape is naturally most practical for space exploration as well as circle , ball, saucer and so on ...:steamthumbsup:

This is an excellent ship. Lots of clever ideas in the detailing, and the subgrid slope integration is the best I've seen to date.

Well done :)
