Just like real nascar the fastest route is to make the turn as straight as you can, meaning hugging the outer wall on the straights and just as corner begins, gradually (to keep pace) steer down close to inside line, holdng that position all turn to then straighten up at earliest moment to just skim outer wall, where you stay correctly positioned for next turn and so on.
Wall scrapes can sometimes give slight advantage when done correctly, but with this type of speed and damage sensitivity it becomes more like a risky and exciting last lap decisions feature, not an advantage, as wall scraping will just as easily take the front end off your car quickly
