Matrix Implementation
I have done my "proof of concept" work for the matrix implementation.
What I need from you is to know which approach is preferred.
If you don't speak up now, you'll end up with minesweeper again.

IC Options
1. Minesweeper. Same basic premise as the original. You get warned before you would trigger IC, if you ignore the warning, you spawn the ice.
2. IC Spawning. Similar to the original, only you don't get warning. IC will spawn as you walk. You can ignore it, letting it attack you, or you can fight it.
3. Heat Counter. A cross between the original the the new, you get warned when you are near IC, if it step wrongly after that, then the heat counter increases. Getting data and other actions also increase the counter. When its full, ALL the IC spawns.
4. Spawn on Arrival. You enter the matrix and all IC is present.
5. Other. Any other approaches you suggest. [See Below]
Other 1. Fortress / Gauntlet. You must defeat IC to gain access
Other 2. Puzzle Based. This would be in the enhanced version NOT the initial release.

Matrix Map Options
1. No map, conversation window driven.
2. Boxy. Duplicating the original layout.
3. Mirror. Making a mirror version of the real world.
4. Imagination. Each matrix map can look however the mapper feels is appropriate.
5. Other. Any other approaches you suggest.

I'd like to see IC spawning option 2 and map option 2.
Use the new possibillities but design the product to be a homage to the original.

3 and 4 would be my preference
The matrix was terrible in the original, SRR has a lot of improvement options there :)

I'd like to see IC spawning option 3 and map option 3. I think the mirror option would be great and really lend itself to immersion.

IC STYLE

The general IC consensus seems to be people want to be warned before the heat counter increases and IC spawns...

The general map consensus seems to be FREEDOM. Each matrix node will look however the node owner feels appropriate. We have some very creative plans for Aneki, wait until you see the art. I also have some fairly "interesting" plans for Drake. Glutman will be a shout out to "out of the box" settings, looking like the original.

I do not have a timeline (yet) for when this will be implemented, but we'll be working on it soon!
