Offers of Help
I have received several offers of help, but we always welcome more.
What we currently need:
- Public Relations. I try to reply to everything, and keep multiple sites/forums updated, but I can only do so much.
- Music Assignment. As many people have commented, the module is quite silent. I need someone to listen to the music in Dead Man's Switch. I then need them to tell me what DMS scenes have music which would be particularly fitting for our scenes. IE: What scene in DMS has the best music when you are in the morgue. We do not need offers of original music at this time. I already have arrangements to use a remake of the original soundtrack provided we find an effective way of updating the music
- Using the Editor. If you want to contribute, you should go here: http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/snes-shadowrun Send me a message (ledeir) and I'll invite you to the project.
- Character Portraits. We have several already, but we need more done.
- Props. I don't know how to currently import these, but I believe there are instructions around. There are certain items / props / decoration for the various maps which would be useful to have but aren't in the current editor. We do not have anyone currently providing these so having someone skilled in 3D art would be handy.

I'm sure there are other things as well, I just can't think of them at the moment...

Id do some of the 3D. (hopefully to get hired by harebrained). So throw me any one unique asset you want for now and I'll learn the editor making it. How about that?

Currently there are two assets we need made.
The easy one are 3x3 crypt stairs.
The hard one is Drake. I can post a link to the old picture, but we need a dragon prop (both alive and dead).
We will likely need others as well, but we dont know what yet.
As far as I know (so far) its not so much using the editor as it is making 3d art and then importing it into the editor.

For now focusing on stationary props (drake) is probably key though in the future having our own animated characters would be nice.

Its a good thing I checked the old screen captures, for whatever reason I was picturing stone stairs when they actually look wooden...

This link shows the original of one of the crypts and the SRR version. We are looking for stairs to complete the picture. They should be the size of a single ground tile and I'll trust your judgement on the look.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Looking good so far!

I created a ObsidianPortal profile, you said to message you, not sure where to do that. Can I get some quick directions on how to join the project? I had some dimensional inqueries about the stairs.
Sadly Im too focused on the project and personal models to figure the joining process out. Sorry if its actually super easy. :P

Its not the easiest of wikis to use, but I already had a paid account so it was the quickest for me. Tell me your obsidian portal username and I'll add you.
and I fully approve of focusing on working instead of record keeping ;)

An additional prop to be added to the list.
In the existing props there are glass walls and a door... I want to shatter them.

Invite sent to the wiki. It should show up in your obsidian portal mail.

I'm a total noob when it comes to the editor, but I remember you saying you need some help on different assets, I've taken some of the original snes assets and retouched them up in photoshop, what type of format would they need to be in to import them into the editor? Is it easy to import them? Thanks

Pretty much everything is in png format. Its fairly easy to import them. You tell the editor where it is and dimensions / qualities and it does the rest. Props do need to be proper 3D props. Character portraits and what not are just regular files and are very easy to include.
