It's common knowledge that Skybox and FE didn't do too much of a good job on EE due to all the bugs, and the workshop is not safe from these issues either. Because of this the most common issue is for textures to not render or download thus all (or most) textures become black. So here's a few solutions and things you should do first:

Did you wait for Steam to download all the Expanded Mod files?

Have you subscribed to all the required files: especially "Expanded Mod Textures I" and "Expanded Mod Textures II"?

If you have, you may also want to unsub to a few other of your mods as well (not the Expanded Mod ones btw), since AoMEE has a limit to the amount of downloadable mods you can have. If this limit is reached (50 + whatever of your custom mods) any over the limit will be ignored by the game, and will not download.

If you are still having issues, you will need to delete (not unsub) all of the Expanded Mod files, and restart, so Steam can redownload them.

If that doesn't work, you may need to reverify the cache just in case, but only use this as a "last resort"
