The Chinese in EM (Suggestions, etc) READ DESCRIPTION b4hand
So I wanna do some major stuff to the Chinese to try and make them fresh, and fun to play, because of this I'm also going to have to lay down some stuff for suggestions for them here:

- No expanding, or updating their mythology beyond basic stuff like techs/balancing. At most techs may be removed from certain gods because every god having 3 tech each is dumb, and borderline stupid in the terms of balancing.
- Anything over-reliant on new models/animations. Unfortunately AoM modding is still limited in the department of animations, buildings, and building death animations are fine, and ships to an extent as well (due to being incredibly basic) unfortunately Unit animations are very tricky, with Cavalry ones being even more so (having to animate BOTH the rider, and horse in tandem)
- No Replacements beyond buildings. Explained above. Animation is hard as hell, even more so when you are being paid bugger all, and have tight deadlines. Not to mention a lot of MU, and Soldier animations aren't too bad, just that the units themselves are too generic (though to be fair, information about the Ancient Chinese military is pretty scarce beyond the Art of War, and Equipment)
- No new godpowers. Unfortunately AoM is very limited in the code department.
- Strict Timeline, the Chinese in EM are being boxed into Han Dynasty - 1000 CE, the most advanced thing they're getting are a Flamethrower, Fire Arrow, Fire Lance and a Flame Ship, that's it: no Cannons, no Arquebusiers, etc (don't whinge about the Atlanteans getting Musketeers and Cannons, they're a fictional civilization, and there's far worse, more advanced fanfictions about Atlantean technology out there)

Things like units, unit names, techs, buildings, features, etc

- maybe a building that features the chinese's many inventions such as paper, compass, astrolabe, triangular sails, ect. (each one would increase the specific action, such as compass increases ship speed, astrolabe increases ships LOS and sails increase speed again idk.
- since the han dynasty was the first to study the stars perhaps something thats like a primitive observatory, that matches the chinese theme. edit, they had a primitive seismoscope
- since the silk road was established during the han dynasty, perhaps an upgrade that allows 5% of resources you spend to go to allies or vice versa, ect.
- add a tech called imperial examination where villagers cost more and take more time to train but are better at everything.
i have more ideas for a lot more on general tech improvements
- add a bard to represent the literature movement during the han dynasty (it can be a strictly support unit, one that boosts certain stats of nearby units)
- they developed a very long sword, so somesort of heavy infantry that has farther range, and is good against weak infantry
- they also invented a military 'kite' with the purpose of communication and scare tactics. (you could make it attack) http://hwarfare.weebly.com/inventionsweapons.html

This is just stuff true to the actual times, the mythology is a whole other frontier, though its confucianism so it would probably conflict with the current chinese idk.
