GENERAL
- Overhauled Herdable Units Reason: Herd units even in EM pre-2.7 were questionable even with a farming nerf, Farms came out on top and could pop up at a time when arguably Herd units should be dominating instead, the below changes should address that.
-- Increased fatten rates, increased initial capacities. Adjusted costs. Now move faster and have more Line of Sight by default.
-- Husbandry now increases fatten rate by x1.25, and increases villager gather rate of herdables by 25% instead of 20%. Selective Breeding increases fatten rate by x1.5.
- Added a new Pine Variation that takes the Fir Tree name and designation; based on the AoE1 Pine Trees.
- Renamed old Fir Trees to Spruce Trees. Updated Models and texture.
- Updated Beech models and texture.
- Huntable Animals (Predators, Hunt, Reactive) now appear as a light brown/clay colour on the minimap.
- Wild Crops (Berry Bushes) now appear as a light green on the minimap.
- Cinematic Palms renamed to Nile Palms, now have death animations and have been integrated properly as trees.
- Archers, Cavalry and Cavalry Archers now have slightly separate training sounds from Infantry.
- Tombs now exclusive to Egyptians, Greeks and Chinese.
- All Villagers have increased Shore Fishing rates and ranges (considering they can't be upgraded, and low chance of fish appearing near the shore)
- Big Cypresses now have different ground decals/shadows.
- Marksmanship, Falconry and Tracking now takes 15 seconds to research instead of 20-30.
- Renamed Circular Temple to Olympian Shrine, now generates 0.05 favor per second instead of 1 (if one controls all 5 in Mount Olympus that's a bonus 0.25 favor per second, which on it's own would take 400 seconds to generate upto max favor for non-Zeus)
- Resolved an issue where the Nature Harpy had an annoying wing flapping sound.
- Farms are now unique per culture (a-la Age of Empires Online) instead of being a mishmash.
-- Egyptians have Cabbage (vanilla), Greeks have Wheat, Norse have Carrots, Atlanteans have the weird ones, Chinese have Rice Paddies
- Myth Unit upgrades now cost 150 res, 12fa, 20secs (Classical) 225 res, 16fa, 30 secs (Heroic) 300 res, 20fa, 40secs (Mythic)
- All Archer and Pirate ships now cost wood and food instead of wood and gold.
- All civs now have separate Fire Rafts based on Transport ships (except Atlanteans and Chinese who get their flamethrowing ships instead)
- The original fonts used in the CD version (i.e Arial, Georgia, Tahoma and Giovanni ICT) have been restored.
– Also fixed a bug where almost all text was incorrectly scaled and overtly bold due to either Skybox's incompetence or human error
– Fixed an issue where certain menu texts were incorrectly white instead of yellow.
- Combined Horse Husbandry into Bloodlines, which is now available in the Heroic Age for 200f, 150g. Available to the Chinese, Greeks and Egyptians.
- Added Hermes’ Winged Sandals as a relic which increases Infantry speed by 10%.
- General built Tents now automatically heal nearby units.
- Most non-Atlantean godpowers (except Eclipse, Restoration, Ceasefire, Frost, Dwarven Mine, Citadel, and Mythic ones) can now be recharged, but nearly all rechargeable GPs have been updated to take this into account, things such as lasting not as long, rewinded balance to older incarnations, so on and so forth.

ATLANTEAN
- Moved Mail of Orichalkos to Theia.
- Moved Petrified to Helios.
- Restored Poseidon's Secrets and given to Helios.
- Moved Titan Shield to Rheia.
- Renamed Burden of Atlas to Polygonal Masonry, with new icon.
- Moved Nereid to Atlas.
- Doubled Horns of Consecration's Favor rate increase.
- Heirloom Greatswords renamed to Heirloom Swords, and now also affects Legionarius, and Murmillo.
- Gaia's Channels now increase Caravan and Fishing Ship speed again.
- Volcanic Forge now costs 150f, 16fa instead of 200f, 18fa.
- Leto's Wartime Hospitality now costs 180w, 18fa.
- Atlantean Court now costs 200f, 400g, and decreases the cost of Cavalry and Cavalry Archers by 20%.
- Analog Computing now increases LOS by 50% and Range of Ships by 4. Now costs 200g, 150w.
- King's Cohort no longer affects Katapeltes and Evocatus costs, now costs 300f, 250g.
- Fixed an issue where Naval Cheiroballistae was available to everyone instead of Hyperion.
- Alluvial Clay now costs 150w, 12 fa.
- Added Caladrius Prophecies. Allows them to attack, train faster and move faster.
-- Caladrias reverted back to TT patch stats due to this upgrade change.
- Sacred Mysticism now costs 75w instead of 75g.
- Reduced Farm Build time to 15 seconds.
- Gemino now increases Satyr hitpoints by 25%.
- Venators removed from train lists, Hoplomachus now combine their anti-eco role and the Venator's "offensive infantry" role.
- Murmillo now cost 50f, 35g.
- Vortex now only has 2 uses, instead of 3.
- Removed Andabatae from train lists.
- Pikemen now fulfill a combined role of Pikeman and Defensive infantry, and are now available in the Classical Age from the Military Barracks.
- Hospitals now correctly heal nearby units automatically.
- Chieroballista Heroes are now affected by Heroic Renewal.
- Fire Ships now deal 10 hack attack, 5 crush attack, 8 range, and attack much faster, have 40/70/80 armor, cost 90w, 75g, 16 LOS, and use a version of the fire giant projectile. Now have a x1.5 bonus vs buildings and x3 bonus vs myth units.
- Fanatic Heroes now correctly take up 2 population.
- Gaia’s Rangers are now classified as Archers and are improved with Archer upgrades.
- Fixed an issue where Atlas still cost 1000g instead of 500g.
- Lemurian Descendents now only increase hitpoints, instead of allowing human soldiers to regenerate.

CHINESE
- Added Ramming Junk as the Chinese Hammer Ship. Fire Raft now functions identically to all other civilizations.
- Fixed a bug where swapping Food for Favor required gold instead…oops.

EGYPTIAN
- Scorpion Man now costs 225w, 16fa to upgrade (in accordance with other Heroic MU upgrades)
- Scarabs can now be upgraded with Khepri's Caraspace, which increases their blood range and damage, speed and allows them to regenerate.
- Nekhbets now have 300hp, 25 pierce armour, and move .2 slower.
-- Restored Patron of the Upper Nile. Now increases pierce armor, speed, and hitpoints. Now has an upgrade texture too.
- Now build farms 5% faster.
- Added Righteous Avenger for Horus, which upgrades Avengers to Avenger Rexes with decreased favor cost, increase pierce armor, and half recharge time.
- Added Eye of the Moon for Ptah, increasing Wadjet attack, hack armor, and decreasing their population to 2.
-- Reverted standard Wadjet population to 3. Wadjets now have their original appearance when not upgraded.
- Added Pillars of Bennu for Thoth, which decreases Phoenix cost, improves train speed, and movement speed.
- Removed Broadswordsman from trainlists.
- The Shortswordsman (aka TOTD Khopesh) now inherits the name, clothing, and role of the old broadswordsman; including being bumped to the Heroic Age, and being stronger.
- Lighthouse now costs 500g, no longer improves ship range, but instead speed, removed hitpoints increase for eco units.

GREEK
- Agoge now increases infantry HP by 20%, now costs 100f, 175g, no longer affects cost.
- Pankration now increases infantry (non-pike) attack by 15% and now costs 100f, 350g.
- Removed Tarantine Cavalry and Athena’s Hammipoi (she already has 4 techs)
- Added Echidnaean Nightmare for Dionysus, which increases their speed, provides a hitpoint regen, and enables a special ability that allows it to poison enemy units in a radius.
- Added Bactrian Manhunters for Apollo, which improves Manticore attack projectile count, hitpoints, and attack range.
- Added Adonia for Aphrodite, which costs 300f, 20fa, and increases the training rate of your units by 10%.
- Removed the Thuerophoroi from train-lists, and Effectively merged it into the Ekdromos, as a quick raiding unit.
- Removed Epilektoi from train lists, frankly the later Pezhetairoi better fits the role.
- Pezhetairoi now cost 50f, 65g, have 130hp, 40ha/20pa.
- Cretan Archers now cost 85w, 75g.
- Dionysus loses Anastrophe, which is now given to Hermes. Anastrophe now costs 200f, 20fa.
- Replaced Calydonian Boar Hunt with Constellation of Orion, which costs 300f, 40fa, and decreases the cost of all your archers by 35%.
- Shafts of Plague now costs 200g, 30fa, and only increases Toxotes and Cretan archer bonus damage.
- Theatrons no longer affect speed or armour, but gives Heroes, Buildings, Soldiers and Economic units +20% HP. Now generates 0.334 favor per second (22.5 fa p/min) Now costs 400w, 300g.
- Removed Agraspides from train lists, the unit was too Selecluid, when the Greeks should be more Classically mixed-with-some Hellenistic flair.
- Spartiates now cost 100f, 80g, move faster, deal +3 damage, have more hack armor but less pierce armor, and slightly less hitpoints. Can now hunker which increases defense, obstruction size and damage, with additional bonus versus cavalry however at the cost of speed.
- Replaced the dinky exploding fire ships with the Fire Galley, which functions more or less like the Chinese and Greek ranged versions..


NORSE
- Brisingamen's Glow now increases Myth Unit, Villager and Ox Cart LOS instead of Cavalry LOS. Now costs 75f, 5 fa.
- Giant Slaying Blades now costs 150g, 10fa.
- Removed unintentional damage multiplier from Ballista.
- Einherjars now have 0.5 melee range, and 0.5 range to initiate their morale bonus.
- Added Muspell’s Sons, which increases Fire Giants speed and increases their damage against heroes.
- Added Slíorugtanni to Bragi which improves Battle Boars, allowing them to attack and recharge faster, and improve their buck damage.
- Added Mountain Song to Njord, which improves Mountain Giant Speed, crush damage and allows them to kick unmounted soldiers and villagers.
- Added Garmr & Skoll to Tyr, which improves the Fenris hitpoint, boost ability and hack resistance.
- Alfar now cost 180w, 20fa, have 240hp, 45 hack armor, 70 pierce armor.
– Added Svartalfheim for Frigg, which increases the hitpoints, range of Alfar, and allows their special ability to fire an additional arrow.
- Overhauled the “Gothic Migration” (so on and so forth) techs so they are now outright specializations (i.e Archer Specialization), and no longer weaken a unit group in a way. Tech now available in the Heroic Age.
– Skultilsvenir has been replaced by the Geat Pikeman that were previously removed. They function more or less the same, and are available in the Heroic Age.
– Dane Crossbowman are now just called Crossbowman, now available in the Heroic Age, now functions as a Norse equivalent of the Greek Cretan Arcus/Egyptian Desert Archer.
– Mounted Pillagers now available in the Heroic Age.

SCENARIO/RM/EDITOR
- Added RR's Mega Random (adjusted so it fits with standard RM naming convention, and preview image doesn't have a box)
- Added Paradise Island from AoMH (with adjustments to fish, rock sprites, and some terrain)
- Added Yangshuo, a overhaul of Hagrit's Kamchatka with surrounding mountains, jungle theme, and new animals.
- River Nile got a complete overhaul in terms of aesthetics, now has Nile Palms instead of Desert Palms, Grass-Dirt terrain instead of Sandy. Lake Plants, less Papyrus, Fish Overhaulled.
- Giza has been given a similar aesthetic overhaul. Player now has two hunt groups that spawn further out, have starting chickens (8-10)
- Complete Overhaul of Mount Olympus now has areas with Olympian Shrines, Shades, and a Relic (a-la Alfheim's Ruins) is bordered by cliffs (A-la valley of the kings) has berry bushes, low hunt, no longer has a central mountain, and more sensical resource placements.
- Semi-Major overhaul of terrain blends, including a few restored (i.e grass over sand, and city-tile blends)
- Added Macaques, Serows, Musk Deer, Saiga, and Giant Salamanders from AoE3 for Chinese biodiversity.
- Split Bear into Brown Bear and Black Bear.
- Animals are now split under Prey, Reactive, Predator and Herdable prefixes in the Editor.
- Split Fin Whale and (original) Whale (now Humpback Whale) as seperate units. Added Beluga (for Arctic Water maps...) and Minke Whale (Chinese, Baltic Sea, etc)
- Wild Horses now have 150 food as all standard prey animals.
- Added Greenish, Green Inferno (or jungle) lighting set.
- General lighting changes inspired by AoE2DE (i.e Desert Maps have a yellow tint, Snowy maps have a bluish tint)
- Improved the look of Tall Grass and Autumn Tall grass to generally look better, including ground decals.
- Added B and C variations to Papyrus. Added ground decal, improved original papyrus texture.
- Editor Changes:
– Removed Screenshot submenu, since Skybox ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up and essentially disabled it, I basically just finished the job.
– Removed the Customize Unit submenu, this was never meant to be functional, and modify protounit already does the job anyway
– You can now enable/disable Fog of War and Black Map in the Editor through the “View” menu.
– Removed the Unit LOS and Range Ring options that were present in the View menu, as ES seemed to have removed the functionality before AoM’s release in 2002.
– The tooltip for the “Move Unit” tool now specifies that you can rotate the angles of selected units with CTRL+UP/DOWN.
- Resolved an issue where various terrains (i.e autumn palette) had red or blue lines due to conversion bugs.
- Added several new terrains (mining ground varants for Norse maps, mining ground blends, GrassRock terrains for northern maps, etc)
- Updated the Palisades, they now have unique art assets (this time custom made, based on the AoE2 Palisades + Alpha textures) and are now more balanced as “palisades”
- Removed River Mekong as it was essentially too janky.
