Problem with clothes and headgear
I have some problems with some portraits, specifically portraits from four cultures: Berber, Egyptian, Andalucian and Kurdish.

Kurdish

Berber, both male and female

Egyptian

https://steamproxy-script.pipiskins.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1636284917

Andalusian, both male and female

I'm currently only using BLG so there isn't or shouldn't be any mod incompatibility, reinstalled a few times too.

Something is resetting the early Muslim clothing back to 12 frames instead of the 14 BLG uses.
It should be set up in betterlookinggarbs.zip/interface/portraits/02_portraits_muslim_early_sprites.gfx. Is that file present and correct?

Can you try renaming the 02 to 99 to cover up later changes?

I renamed the file to"99_portraits_muslim_early_sprites.gfx" but it didn't work, the problem persists.

betterlookinggarbs.zip/interface/portraits/portraits_muslim_early.gfx doesn't exist right?
Also check in the CK2 install directory dlc/dlc047.zip if it's using 02_portraits_muslim_early_sprites.gfx instead of portraits_muslim_early.gfx.

Also check in the CK2 install directory dlc/dlc047.zip if it's using 02_portraits_muslim_early_sprites.gfx instead of portraits_muslim_early.gfx.

So, first and foremost, indeed, "portraits_muslim_early.gfx" on the portraits folder of the mod doesn't exist, as for the "dlc047.zip" it goes like this "dlc/dlc047.zip/interface/portraits/portraits_muslim_early.gfx".

So yeah, it isn't using the 02 but the other one, in the folder there is a "portraits_byzantine_early.gfx" but i don't know if it matters.

EDIT: Ok, all good now, had to redownload the dlc from steam because for some reason i had an old version, everything is looking fine now, thanks for the help!

How did you redownload the DLC? As I'm having the same issue. Portraits for Muslim are all broken like yours, but only in the Early Middle and Viking ages. Start dates of 1000 and after seems fine. I've tried validating game files and unchecking and rechecking the DLC for the Ultimate Portrait pack but that doesn't fix it.

Deleting the dlc files followed by validating should force a new set of files.

Wait, is this mod not compatible with CPR+? I tried re-installing the DLC and when that didn't fix it, I realized I hadn't yet tried to disable CPR+ which obviously works in a similar way. Disabling it did fix the problem.

Reason I hadn't done so before was I swear someone said it was compatible, and no one has said otherwise on either mod pages officially or in the comments as far as I could find.

Would the HIP patch fix it? Considering I'm not using HIP, just the single CPR+ portraits part?

EDIT: Yeah just went to the CPR+ Compatibility page on the forum and it does say it's not compatible. But again, would the HIP patch fix this problem?

EDIT2: Well running it with the patches actually did fix the problem. But it also created another one, now I am seeing artifact icons everywhere, both inside portraits and on the GUI. Im going to guess they have something to do with HIP, as I've never used the mod but I imagine it changes the GUI. Im gonna mess around with the patch files and see if I can undo it.

EDIT3: I give up. I'm not sure what i'm looking for, and upon comparing the two mods side by side I can see why there's no direct compat patch. It'd be quite the headache to have to go through the whole mod just to make it compatible as both mods seem to modify all the same files, and there's hundreds of those files. Not sure if the HIP compatibility patch actually fixed it or not as the patch hardly touched a small piece of the number of files that would need to be modified. Regardless I think Ill just uncheck CPR+ as your mod adds some features I can't do without.

No, CPR is not compatible. There is too much overlap as you saw. I should fit in an extra warning in the instructions.
