Guide to everything in the mod
I love this mod, and it is better than the "They knew" mod in my opinion for a few reasons, I feel it's just too easy to get a cure in that mod, this one makes you work for it, and you're going to be working hard.

I had some trouble figuring out the mod, while it was pretty fun to do so, there were somethings I searched for a million times and only found after picking up some of the items and reading the description. I also saw a lot of other people confused so this post is how everything works in the mod. I will make a note that I'm not sure if electricity is needed for any of these since I was in a powered building if my instructions don't work then it is required.

Before continuing, you don't need any other mod for this, it works, the "Updated ones" most likely work as well but this works just fine you just need to know what you're doing.

There are THREE Books you must find for the mod, the add the recipes, one is for building the lab equipment, the other is for learning how to mix the precursors in chemistry, and the last one is a biology for actually making the cure.

Book 1: Laboratory Equipment (Lab equipment)
Book 2: Brief Chemistry Course (Chemistry)
Book 3: Virology Course (Biology)

I have seen a lot of people who don't realize this but you have to go to crafting and go to the "Equipment" tab to see it AFTER you read the book. Then you must first build the "Workbench" then to craft the other items you must be standing around the workbench.

There is an exception for the easel which can be crafted anywhere, but that ONLY makes decorations, they're pretty cool but not necessary and I won't say anymore about them except that you must construct the easel and stand near it to make the recipes under the "Decorations" tab.

For every crafting recipe there is a corresponding piece of equipment, for example if you want to make Ammonium Sulfate you must have the items and be standing near the Chemistry Set which must first be built by collecting the items necessary for it and standing near the workbench to craft it.

With that out of the way I will break down what you need for each thing.

Muffle Furnace: Creates flasks, test tubes, jars, and syringes. To make the first three you just need to gather shattered glass and stand near the furnace to craft them, the syringe also needs a needle of some kind it can be a sewing needle or a suture needle.

The unique thing about the Muffle Furnace is you technically don't need it as the items can be crafted with a propane torch instead, however it's quite expensive and I recommend making it to avoid needing a lot of propane and propane accessories.

The Morgue Table: As far as I know, this doesn't really have a use, instead the way you get blood now is by first getting a mask of some kind and a Scalpel. Then grab some test tubes (You're going to need a lot... probably 30 per cure just the cure and not the vaccines).

Kill zombies, check their inventories for "Infected Blood" (the one with the red icon not the purple Icon that is "Tainted Blood" and has no use as far as I know). If they don't have any in their inventory right click on the corpse and press the autopsy option. This may or may not yield the infected blood that you want, sometimes you get nothing, sometimes it's tainted.

I recommend that you add the infected blood to test tubes immediately though as it spoils overtime. I haven't seen it spoil while in the test tube.

Spectrometer: Used to determine if a player is infected. To do use this you need the following.

1: Cotton Balls,
2: Disinfectant or some Bourbon,
3: a Syringe
4: A Sheet of Paper

Under the "Health" category in the crafting menu "Put Alcohol on cotton" or just right click them in your inventory to do the same. Once you have the "Cotton Balls Doused in Alcohol" right click the syringe to make a "Syringe with Test Blood" on yourself or your allies, my friends were all offline when I figured out how to test myself so I haven't been able to try on them yet. From there you just need to right click and run the test while near the spectrometer.

Everything else in the mod is going to be primarily under the "Chemistry" tab. I'm also not going to break down everything you need to make them since you can check in game under the Chemistry tab. Keep in mind, once you have made these you need to stand next to them for the crafting recipes to be available.

Chemistry Set: You can make the following here:

1: Chlorine Tablets
2: Albumin
3: Flask of Sodium Hypochlorite
4: Flask of Ammonium Sulfate
5: All of the Vaccines and Cures final stage must be made here.

As far as I know, the chlorine tablets only purify water, they might be useful in a pinch but I haven't played around with them yet.

Albumin from my understanding acts similar to the vaccines in that it slows the rate of progression of the virus if you are infected.

Sodium Hypochlorite and Ammonium Sulfate are both precursors used during a lot of the processing steps. I recommend making a lot of ammonium sulfate and also filling a lot of flasks with purified water as they seem to be the most used. Note that there are 4 items you can find around the world being "Ammonia", "Bag of Sodium Hydroxide", "Can of Hydrochloric Acid", and "Can of Sulfuric Acid" to make these you will need all of them and a flask.

As for the Vaccines and cures, just look at the recipe for the respective one you want to make and use the other equipment to go for it.

Centrifuge: Used to divide blood into components you need 3 test tubes with infected blood to get one flask of blood plasma and red blood cells. Generally this is the first processing you do.

Microscope: Used to extract leukocytes from the Blood Cells. Generally, the second step.

Chromatograph: Used to extract antibodies from leukocytes. One thing I want to make clear is that you must also have a computer next to the Chromatograph for it to work. This confused me for a while and your only hint is the description of the item in your inventory. So, make sure you have a computer ready next to it.

Lastly: You can clean your lab equipment like test tubes and flasks by using boiling water. I recommend this as you're going to need a lot of them to make cures.

Anyway, best of luck to everyone, and have fun.
