Storm Over Europe
The Greatest PZC2 Mod - 2 things though, Kamikaze Planes and Railroaded Railgun Issue
I absolutely adore this mod and especially the first 1940 campaign. Especially what you've done with giving Infantry and AT different traits and sizes. Over strength Heavy Infantry are extremely powerful when used properly and I actually want to use both Light and Medium anti tank's at the same time for the camo trait and close quarters traits.

On top of phenomenal balancing which seems to have me struggling with prestige (in a good way) the scripting is really damn nice. One thing I absolutely hate is the periodic spawning of new units in PZC2 and I'm sick of just camping spawn locations especially for aircraft. This mod has most of the time; everything right there at the start which is really nice. Dunno how much you can mess with the AI but I have noticed two things. One the AI will almost always prioritize your core units and will do the most stupid attacks when there is a much better one they could do against a non core unit. To some degree I understand why this is a thing but I do not see why the AI would take a 1-15 on my core infantry when it could do a 8-5 against my non-core recon. Regardless there is also a small little thing you can do with Camo-Units. I find the AI (especially planes) just will not learn from losing units. I have a Camo trait on my Flak20mm and on my Flak88mm and both are overstrengthed with consolidator. Why you ask? because at the first turn or two the enemy will see your nice JUICY core artillery covering your infantry. They will then send a plane to promptly bomb your arti. Which they will immediately lose. and instead of learning from this trap they will proceed to waste every single plane until they either run out of planes or you run out of ammo. Dunno if you can or would even like to fix this but it's something I wanted to mention.

Also there is a Railgun that you get after the Maginot line mission and it had a slighty annoying no management trait. Not replenishing it's strength or not overstrengthing it doesn't really bother me but the fact you can upgrade an existing artillery unit into it and then you can't revert it is extremely frustrating and required me to load a save once I realized. You also can't put heroes onto it (well you can you just need to put the heroes onto an existing artillery unit and then permanently upgrade that unit with the understanding the heroes you put on that unit cannot be put back on after you remove them, think Zero Slots switching for Air only missions.) Basically I would say my recommendation is either get rid of the no management trait if you can or, just provide the player with the unit and not the equipment so there's no chance someone locks their hero's or experienced unit onto the train forever.

Thank you for the good review.

I do wish there was more that could be done with the AI, it is difficult to get it to attack in anything that looks close to an intelligent behavior.

Regarding camouflage, this is another thing I tried with AI. I tried scripting them on using recon planes. They just put the planes anywhere and not actually try to scout with them. The AI is pretty hard coded besides the commands us modders can send it to do.

Regarding the railway guns, the 240mmTBK, 280mmK5, I have reviewed them and removed the no management trait. Probably an oversight on my part. It will be part of a later update with additional fixes and briefing changes.
Hmm, it's unfortunate you can't mess with the AI. If only you could get chatgpt to play the ai somehow lol.

It seems like it would be pretty hard to get around the whole Camo thing. The only thing I can think about is if you can create your own trait like "no camouflage" and put it on only the anti-airs like the 88mm and Flakverlings. (and maybe the railway guns too because giving Gustav the Camo hero always gave me a chuckle about how absurd that is)

Regardless I'm glad to help and I'll be sure to continue stress testing your future campaigns :)
