Sorry to say but without heavy modding that isn't possible

in this map you research weapons that go into the same slot . and when you create them they drop the previous weapon. same with med kits and defibs.. just keep on creating things that go in the same slot . and they drop.. but not the same item twice. they have to be different

When you get an item, you will always drop a different item than the one you have equipped.
In the case of weapons, if you spend a little bullets, you can equip the same weapon.

Build order at minute 10 :

Maybe instead of having a pick option, equiping selected item, players could have a drop option, creating selected item on the side of the research station (so they don't pick it by accident) ?
