I would like the weapons to be really rare so that you'd be forced to craft your gear instead. I'm still undecided on what to do with legendary weapons as they are a completely other can of worms :D
If a Random boss in the world is able to drop one I would go way lower. Because thats way easier farmable. Probably around 5% for example So you would have to beat that boss which is in the world around 20 times for the "guarantee".
For normal Thralls I think its good that starmetal is removed, think you want to have the fun cracking the stones and running after the meteroids. I see the point in still be able to drop a weapon, but I would let it have low durability aswell as be extremly rare. I could think of a 0.5% Chance for a weapon. I mean I slaughter quite a lot of NPC when I run around, because they triggered or I was checking the respawned loot/thralls. 200 Kills are quite quickly done 😅
But I think kinda reasonable maybe to "earn" a weapon. So with repair kits you could use the weapon or a high enough level to repair it manually but also it isnt dropped too often, that you would just disamble it. Same for Armor btw, but I dont know if its calculated for 1 drop all possibilites or every single dropable item on its own. I would be fine for Armor with the same values then maybe of 0.5% 🤔 Because for 5 Slots to drop thats basically a 2.5% Chance of a drop of any piece.
Could be even that those numbers are still too high😅 depends how it really is calculated in the game. I just blurred out some numbers I think "feeling-wise" could be okisch. But maybe this Idea how I think about percentages is giving you more/new ideas how to approach it.
I mean if after 10 enemies I already get a weapon dropped its kinda unsatisfying at least for me 😅 but maybe I am too maso/grindy in my mindset.
I am eager to see the changes of your update 👍
