The best way to download a map is to alowe the program to create the file for you. The custom map file should be create under C:\Users\User\Documents\The Escapists\Custom Maps. To make the game create it for you just open up the map editor once and this file will be created automatically. All the maps you sub to should know auto download to this loaction. If it dose not try making the folder yourself or make a prison (dose not need to be good or anything just a base prsion with everything that is need) and export it this will then force the program to make the folder. Sometimes the map dose not always download staight away so try closing down steam in you icons tab.
