HISTORICALLY ACCURATE UNIFORMS THREAD
In this thread we're going to share all the imagery used to create the new uniforms for each unit in the game.

All followers are invited to share their own sources and pictures in order to help creating the new variants. Being experienced with Osprey publications I advise sticking to their illustrations whenever possible, but Karwansaray is also a good one (not sure how much it has published on the period though). Contemporary sources are of course well accepted.

I am going to get a grip on how these units are modelled by Marquis and start with the Austrian grenadier and the Russian one. Please do bear in mind that we still have issues with the amount of variants we can create - there are technical limitations that GSC has to address. I think insofar the limit is 1 variant per nation.

Also no napoleonic period content, this is the 17-18th century!

I'm not a Modder, only a person who has some ideas. So, I don't know if it's possible to do that.
It's a good idea to replace the textures of the 18th century musketeers and grenadeers of all nations. After you did that. It would be great if you can hire some different mercenary regiments at the diplomacy centers. It's only an idea.

like the irish regiments:

or swiss regiments:

And maybe for the british diplomacy center the hessian regiments:

for the prussian diplomacy center brunswick jagers, for example:

and so on... More ideas welcome!

These ideas are interesting. Perhaps we can in the future actually add as regular units different regiments in each nation. It would be interesting if all nations were expanded with new units.

THEN HERE ARE THE MUSKETEERS FOR DIFFERENT COUNTRIES examples
Spain
to (XVII) I'd like to review those with the armor. maybe you can switch between units whereas the Spanish had no uniforms real (maybe switch production 1 Musketeer armored and non-armored one)
for (XVIII) Spanish riflemen there are not many pictures, however, the uniforms have a black tricorn hat with a uniform all white with red cuffs on the sleeves

As for the 18th century ones it seems the main uniform was indeed white but the secondary colour was diverse between regiments. See here, I have found many pictures and illustrations with this blue instead of the red you showed. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/98/9d/24/989d24897f0adff3e1aae94a1f310070.jpg

In any case both the red and blue would arise some issues. As the white and blue is already used by the French and the white and red by normal musketeers with the white player colour. The Austrian ones are going to be white too, not sure about the secondary colour though.

well then I do not see many problems in this regard for the Spanish musketeers XVIII

shows all the respective also divided by the grenadiers
