Friend of Mine and I are unable to get this map to work in 2v2 (against AI), he was able to get it to work in singleplayer against AI, however. The issue seems to be that it rejects having the custom-map being selected on set-up for the non-hosting player, defaulting the map selection to another vanilla-map instead, then upon launch, it loads into that vanilla-map for both players, even if the host had selected the custom-map specifically.

This map is beautifully designed! Great work! However, I am having serious issues with the lighting on this map. These issues have been present on a few other maps I've played with particular skyboxes, but this is the worst I've had it. Basically the lighting and shadows flicker like crazy as the camera moves throughout the map, and it looks really unnatural, like very bright strobe lights are going off inside the Karak. Couple of my friends also had the same issue, but a few of them did not. I'm running Ultra settings and default brightness, which my computer can handle very well. I'm not sure whats causing this, but it makes a very gorgeous map much less beautiful. I can link a video of the problem if you'd like to see it

I know this issue, but it still occurs? I thought I fixed it in the that update, that's bad ;(

edit. Can you please tell me the name the map had when you tried that? Was it "Nexxes, The inner Hold of Kraka Ravnsvake" or was it "Kraka Ravnsvake: The Inner Hold"?
After renaming it yesterday a friend and I could play it. Before that we had the same issue.

I updated the map, maybe it works now?

Love the map, super interesting and fantastic design. But as has been mentioned before, the lighting is a massive nuisance. The lightning flickers every time the camera is moved, and then for a few seconds afterwards. The previously made comparison to a strobe light is incredibly apt, fits the problem completly.
Another issue is that the Ai seem to spawn only in the left-side spawn, though that could just be coincidence, i havent used the map that much due to the strobe light effect.
The bridge is a minor problem that seems to be recurring amongst the new maps. You place some nice looking layer over the standard ground, and it does look really nice, but it doesnt lie onto the ground as much as hover. Units end up "sinking" halfway through the top layer on the bridge! And corpses all lie under that layer so i cant even see them

First of all what is your Gpu? My problem is that I can't reproduce the lightning/shadow issue. I just don't have it.

I can't controll where the AI spawns, they just 'spawn' Sometimes where the bridge is, sometimes seperated and sometimes on the other side.

Yep the bridge/road/etc. Probs are problematic. Buildings should normally provide theground themselves but they don't work. As such we map makers have to adjust theground to centimeters perfect, what is not as easy. I thought I did pretty good with the bridge, but probably not great.

i love your map, here are my ideas:
Some walls around the statues and stairs , who lead to the throne(?) room in the middle.
Some dwarven buildings, to cover some space at the bridges?

In regards to the flicker: it seems that it might be a nvidia problem. When i google it, there seem to be several steam and total war discussions regarding it. Apparantly it is a problem with nvidia drivers?

There seem to be no problem with the spawns. Just tried another battle, and the AI spawned elsewhere, so everything seems fine there.
I cant host the map, but I dont know if its the fault of your mod or the beta because a lot of mods dont tend to work (the auto download doenst occur).

@Fapman Yes, it seems so, that's why I want amd users to report to me if they have flickering too. For now I only heard about problems from nvidea users.

@Altarro I've got this problem too, but I can't host any custom map right now. And you can believe me, I want to play those in MP. It's fine against the AI, but please let me fight real players on those maps!

My units are sunken half into the bridges, aswell as beeing completly in, wen persuing enemies at the left hand corner entrance.

@NoSkill I spent the last hour trying to get the bridge right, now is the best I could do. Units should no longer be half in the bridge, just their corpses, can't do it better, sorry.

That's sadly a bug of the editor at the moment. CA will fix it at the 28th when they release a patch for it. It's still in Beta, I don't know if there is anything I could do. But it is just MP, not Custom Battles.
