My name is Denis, and my main activity is designing skins for Counter Strike 2 and sometimes Rust. I literally live for it! I learned about Counter Strike when I was a child, and a little later I started playing myself. From 2016, I just played the game and admired the skins, and two years later I found out that you could make them yourself. That's where my interest in designing and creating skins began. That was in 2018.

I can't believe that more than seven years have passed since then. I also have one accepted work in CS:GO, created in collaboration with Kai , called M249 | O.S.I.P.R. In this work, I mostly acted as a concept artist who came up with the idea of making an Alliance rifle from Half-Life.

Although this is currently the only item accepted in Counter Strike, I am still continuing to create skins because I simply love doing it and really want lots of players to enjoy my work.

Q: What is the idea behind M249 | O.S.I.P.R.?

A: The basic design was based on the Alliance rifle from Half-Life 2, and this skin is a tribute to the Half-Life series.

Q: Is it difficult to create skins?

A: Everything is individual, and each skin requires a different amount of time to implement a specific idea.

Q: Where can I find guides on creating skins?

A: All information is available online, as well as in the official guide to creating items in Steam Workshop.

Q: What programs should I use to create skins?

A: These are mainly 3D and 2D editors. Here is a list of some of them: Substance Painter, Photoshop, 3D-Coat, Figma, Blender, and others.

Q: Do you know in advance that your skin will be included in the game?

A: No. Only the game developers know this. Workshop users receive an email notification that their skin has been added to the game when the update is released.

Q: How are payments made to creators of skins, stickers, or other items?

A: Before submitting their creation to the Steam Workshop, participants must fill in all their bank details and tax agreements.

Q: Where to get ideas?

A: Ideas for creating skins are all around us; the main thing is to be able to look at the world from different angles.

Q: After 7 years of work and only 1 accepted skin, where can I find motivation?

A: For me, motivation is providing for the well-being of my family and parents. I am also greatly motivated by other skin creators with whom I spend most of my time.

Q: Favorite Game?

A: For me, the first game I played when I got a computer was Half-Life 2, so it's probably my favorite game. And also Counter Strike, because it started out as a mod for Half-Life.

Q: Classes other than skins?

A: Sometimes I record songs that simply help me remember the past, but mostly I just make skins.
