Solar Turret Mount LL

LL means it is for Large Turrets (Artillery) and Low to the ground (not on a tower). There is also a SL Version (Small, Low) that is sized for the other turret types.

This is a BA that is just a mount for a turret. It only has a core, ammo box, solar capacitor, solar panels, and I threw in a wireless connection so it would be easier to access the ammo. The turret is left off so you can just pick your own type.

You can put smaller turrets on this, the extra space is just wasted unless you use it for something (sentry guns around the edge etc.)

Turrets use little power (only 5kPU) so the number of solar panels is probably overkill on most planets, but I used four just to handle cases such as near the poles and planets with bad sunlight. I also used sloped ones in all directions so at least one direction should be optimal.

It counts as a base for purposes of drone attacks, so may not survive long term if it is completely alone on a high threat planet with bomber drones.

Can also be useful if you need to power any low-power items as the turret will not run down the battery. The power should be enough for some sentry guns too.
