CV Class 10, CPU Tier 4 (Alpha 11.x),Unlock Level 25

Primary roles: Large Carrier, Mobile Base, Large Farm, Survival combat, Crafting and Storage, Repair, Shield, Warp, Coop, Alpha 11

Update 11/19/19 - Updated ship to be alpha 11.x compliant at 9.3 million CPU and 100% efficiency. The RCS were removed and replaced with 4 cpu tier 4 blocks. These blocks can be found in the two engineering side rooms. No other changes were made.

The Perses Carrier-Capital Vessel 2 is a complete refit of the original Perses Carrier bringing new visuals as well as major updates to power systems, storage, and alpha 9/10 features. The goal was to refit the ship but keep it true to the original version in looks, layout, and function. Although this ship is not 7500 CPU, switching it to 7500 would not be hard at all at this point. I decided to exceed 7500 to not lose existing function vs the original ship mainly with storage. Every part of the ship has been gone thru and tweaked/changed in both major and minor ways from the original. In the end the size class went up from 9 to 10 (even) but the price and build time have dropped slightly. If you were familiar with original Perses Carrier you should feel right at home with this new version.

Major Changes

1. Completely redone thrust and power. All existing thrusters and generators have been changed to larger parts but less of them. This was the first step to get the ship to 7500 CPU. This involved rebuilding the front and rear thruster pods removing older smaller thrusters and replacing them with the largest available. In this process the ship has more power and thrust but also more efficient. The 8 T1 generators were replaced with 2 T2 generators. One last detail, the ship was raised off the ground by 1 block making it easier to land vs the original.

2. Alpha 9/10 storage, Wifi, Shield. The ship still has a lot of traditional cargo boxes but also has 2x320K volume storage, 64K ammo storage, Wifi coverage, and a brand new Alpha 10 T2 Shield.

3. Major hull modifications. This includes rebuilding much of the existing ship including the sides, parts of then center mass, front landing gear area, thruster assemblies, and a general tweak and detail over the entire hull of the ship. These changes were made to form better body lines, room for larger thrusters, and increase detail. This also included adding 2 additional side mount flak cannons. All other launcher and turret mounts positions did not change from the original. Again, all changes were made to bring out better visuals but also keep the ship true to the original look and style.

4. Interior changes/enhancements. Every room has been gone thru and detailed or enhanced in some way. This includes color, texture, block changes, sensors and lighting, and LCD's, complete rebuilding of some areas like the engineering area and side storage rooms. This ship also takes full advantage of the new alpha 10 Volumetric lighting.

Offensive and Defense

The hull is built with combat armor, non critical interior areas with carbon substrate. This ship has a wide range of launchers and turrets as the original but gained 2 additional side mount flak turrets.

Alpha 9/10 Features and survival functions

1. Hangar side crafting areas totaling 8 advanced constructors, 2x320K volume storage, 36 additional large cargo boxes in the hangar area (1 below each constructor+4 groups around the hangar area). The crafting area also has a warp tank, armor locker, armor repair, Med station, O2 station, fridges, cooking stations, and a ammo requirements LCD next to the 64K volume ammo storage. This area also has separate power switches for both sides of the crafting area + repair bay/repair console. By default everything is on.

2. 144 Grow plot farm with 2 cooking stations and 8 fridges. The farm is divided into 4 lanes each with it's own power control (on ceiling at start of row). By default all grow lights are on.

3. Complete Med Bay room with all extra specific medical equipment to cure sickness, broken legs, etc.

4. Engineering area and new side rooms. The engineering has been changed a fair amount to make room for new larger parts. This area now contains 2xT2 generators and a shield. (3x3x3)

5. Perses Lounge - Mostly unaltered from the original besides some small tweaks and a few block changes. The side storage rooms from the lounge however have changed a lot. The left side room is no longer accessible from the lounge area and is now accessible from the farm area. These rooms have no real reason to go to but do have space to add additional parts/fuel tanks etc.

6. Control tower area - This area has only cosmetically changed some. The rear gravity generator has been moved out of this area and now tucked into the walls of the rear hangar area along with offline protection.

7. Bridge - Mostly like the original with an overlook over the two runways. It has 4 switches for thrust power and performance mode, exterior lights, and weapon systems. In this version, high performance mode turns on additional thrusters and RCS. The main thrust power must also be on. High performance mode does use more fuel.

Features Summary

1. Alpha 11 specs, Tier 4 CPU, slightly lower cost and build time from original ship despite being higher size class.
2. Very large hangar and flight deck for moving a ton of HV's and SV's
3. Shield, Wifi, offline protection, redone power and thrust
4. 144 grow plot farm with 4 grow lanes each with it's own power control. (Same as original)
5. compartmentalized o2, medical bay, 4 crew quarters, lounge
6. Tons of places to add extra parts/fuel tanks, storage etc. through out the ship
7. Sensor based lights and doors. Lighting takes full advantage of alpha 10 volumetric lights.
8. 8 advanced constructors, 2x320K volume storage, a lot of additional large cargo boxes, 64K ammo storage.
9. Front entry room (staging area) with additional storage and equipment
10. T2 repair bay and console (Located in hangar area)
11. Armor lockers, armor repair, o2 stations

- This ship currently requires Alpha 10 Experimental release and will not spawn in Alpha 9.x

- In one screen shot you see NPC crew on the flight deck. This ship does not however come with any crew.

- The ship has 4 Wifi locations. One in the very front (not visible), one in the center in the hangar ceiling near the farm, and 2 in the back of the hangar area built into the left and right walls. This was done to have a good coverage area from front to back of the ship.

- The Pitch, yaw, and roll numbers have changed with alpha 10 (bug?) and they do no represent numbers we are all used to. With 12 RCS installed, the ship handles fine especially for a CV, but no where close to what the those numbers are saying in relation to how it used to work.

Quick Update 5/28/19 - Replaced rear hangar ramps with correct size to go to the ground. Fixed missing color/texture in side room (generator) area. Replaced steel grate (non air-tight) with air tight version in front of WiFi in hangar ceiling area. Fixed spelling error on crafting power LCD's. Colored reverse thrusters gray instead of dark gray.

I suggest creating a Perses for RE2, with limits set at least to Core9, with exploration and mining objectives. Both the Perses and the Nemesis are immortal ships in this game, they cannot disappear. Thank you.

CPU is locked on tier 1 and I cant get it higher. But your screenshot shows it at tier 4 CPU

@Zookie I do not think it was build for R.E. What I would do is try to modify the decks and rooms removing stuff to make room where possible

Any chance of doing a ship like this with room for shield arrays? im on a server with a limit of class 10 and compared to the persesv3 the v2 has more room in the hanger to throw some arrays but i was hoping maybe make a ship with designated locations for such things as tovera class dreads are a pain to deal with.

JRandall, you are MOST welcome! Actually I got, for my nobody's page, a fast spam of subs for the Refit :O 166 for me out of the blue says this one is still an old love for many vanilla players.

That was just tacking on guns and a little reorganizing lol, but shes completely fit for major combat now with the toughest CVs in Vanilla. I just added in a Xeno armor belt for better tanking too on my own, I may update to the BP.

But this one is all thanks to you and this apparently remains a BIG fan favorite :O I imagine a CV3 that resembles more of a battlecruiser, while still keeping the vast space, great lift and storage, and crew amenities would be one of your ATGs. But I am just fan-favoriting here lol.

So, should you do an updated version, the hefty firepower upgrades were quite popular. Thank YOU for letting me shamelessly schmooze off your great work, and looking for more again later!

I did an update to th CV2 for Vanilla 1.5 JRandall. But my refit takes it more to a battlecruiser/small craft attack carrier with extensive weapons upgrades. Now, she not only can handle conflict, she can take on some of the toughest craft in the game.

I made sure to credit you, dude! Your work is AMAZING. Refitted your M9XR too! I love that thing xD Also, credit to you on my page. If I am to mangle someones art, I will at least let them know!

Thinking of going for the Cosmos now. But I think in order to make 1.5 Vanilla compliant, some major changes will have to happen. Just spawning it in as it is, its 3x over CPU lol. It needs T3 CPU just to work. And thats before anything else. So, I may have to really refit it as it will be forced to presently be a mid-game CV now with early game capabilities atm omg xD

They are my favorite ships in the game, so I hope this is ok!
