it would look a little less. quality wise but it will actually look better in game.
its better u try that than to leave Etna or any other CSW character to be so small. @Ydile
Also about your point about making her moves play like card sagas wars, that is a very different game with a lot more moves, and many serving different purpose. It was hard enough making a plausible looking back air with the sprites I had access to as is, I was not really worried about making her play like she does in CSW. That goes for her whole kit, which I will not rework.
However, you are more than welcome to try creating your own mod character version of Etna. It's not like I called dips or smth.
Thank you for your critique. During the creation of this mod I tried scaling her up to 200%, however I didn't like it one bit. She absolutly towers over the main cast of the game at 200% size, so I left her at original sprite size.
I consider making a seperate mod and scaling her up, but this will most likely not happen anytime soon.
to increase the size just throw every sprite into MS paint (or any other program but MS paint is fast and simple) then use the resize tool and increase both sides by 200 percent. that doubles the sprite size.
all u have to do after that is re-add the alpha layer using photoshop or Gimp. maybe whatever program u use to do graphical stuff. if u have Asprite u should be good there.
if u do this u should be 100 percent fine. if u need help Dm Me. im busy making characters myself n im still learning how to code them. so i cant really help by doing it for you rn.
Good luck. but please please. dont leave this project to rot. cus i wont let it. u already started a character id have worked on. u should finish the job. Good luck.
Added Basic AI. (atm really bad at recovering but she at least got AI now..)
Adjusted Knockback and Hitpause on Down Special Flurry Attack.
Adjusted Knockback and Damage on Down Special Finisher.
As stated in the description, all sprites i used came from a diffrent game, so that was her original size in that game, which worked well there as they had a much more zoomed-in camera. so it was either this size or double that size, as you can't really resize pixel art that well.
For D-Special, it is easily parried yes, i noticed that too during playtesting.
Thanks for your suggestion, I gonna look into it.
