Enhanced Object Compare

Description
Improves the "Press <control> to compare" functionality for objects. New features:
  • When pressing <control>, a note at the top of the text will tell you which object in your equipment is being compared against the current item.
  • While holding <control>, tapping <shift> will cycle through the objects in your equipment that the current item can be compared to. Useful when wearing two rings, dual-wielding weapons, or using the second weapon set.
  • Runes and inscriptions in your inventory or store inventories can be compared via <control> to corresponding inscriptions on your body.

Also available as part of the ZOmnibus Addon Pack and ZOmnibus Lite.

Being able to compare inscriptions is a lifesaver, not sure why that's not in the base game

I like this, but it can be something of a mess sometimes - wish there was an option for just side by side too, or a combo of both, i mean.

Seems to not work...

I have the note at the top to tell me which object is being compared but i don't have the cycle things while tapping SHIFT (holding CTRL..) please help

Seems the author of Better Item Description thinks it's a vanilla bug, since it happens even with all addons disabled on the save. I've posted [forums.te4.org] a bug report on the forum.

Happened again. This time I've zipped the save immediately. If you have the time to test stuff out, better try it with this save. Try CTRL-comparing any of the shields in the Transmog Chest. mega . nz/#!H8xViAoA!1zAowEyGVW9bbMsPzN1nJEAMy-5jtL8GZ1rxcV4KLCw

Heya, there's been an error [i.imgur.com] with Better Item Description . The author thinks it's not a problem with his addon, so my next best bet would be this one. Here's (mega . nz/#!O0AlnaLA!P9ORMC1xR-viRsDIFdcPinxEzFC2lu6qpxAsg_QSvd8) the save, although I've since transmog'd the item and moved on, so it's probably useless.

@Tofystedeth: Yes, only addons that were enabled when you created a character will be used by that character.

Do I have to have created the character with the addon enabled? I installed the addon after creating a reaver (because comparing dual wielded weapons suuucks) and it doesn't seem to be doing anything at all.

And for providing changelog notes to boot! Way too many addon devs neglect that.
