You already had me at cake. But Cake of the Century?

Asset is inspired by Pasticceria Bruno in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan. The Settepani family opened the original location in 1973 and after 41 years closed that location and moved out to Staten Island. During the holidays, Bruno’s transforms into an ambrosia heaven with New York’s biggest and finest selection of cakes, pastries, cookies, truffles, gift baskets and Chef Biagio’s signature Panettone. Bruno’s is the proud home of the “Cake of the Century,” Chocolate Pear Royal, a sumptuous chocolate mousse cake with layers of hazelnut crunch and pear mousse… and the esteemed “Raspear Cake,” that was named best taste.”

The building is not faithful to the real-life building for this asset. My Little Italy collection is intended to be 2-4 story buildings rather than Manhattan-esque buildings so I used one of the models I created custom for the collection. I think the intricate brick work on the front facade of this asset will stand out in your city.


This Dessert shop is one of the first wave from my Little Italy collection I plan to publish in the coming months where I take independent Italian American businesses with appealing vintage signage that have endured for decades in places like NYC, Philly, Detroit, St Louis, SF, etc.. Expect to see pasta shops, cheese shops, cafes, bakeries, butchers and much more.
