Mixamo Mocap Animations for TF2 SCOUT

Description
An absolute boatload of semi useful motion capture animations from mixamo, mapped onto the tf2 scout! Includes walk cycles, run cycles, gestures, combat animations, dances, and general locomotion stuff! If you cant animate for the life of you, but still wanna make something cool, you'd better get familiar with this pack!

NOTICE: This is VERY unoptimized. I've been holding onto this for a long while, and just wanted to toss it out into the workshop, rather than have it gather dust. The animations in this pack are all packed together in one big sequence, so, here's some instructions on usage...

HOW TO USE:

-copy paste your scout model and hide it's visibility

-right click and select import animations

-find the mixamo animations in: "game\workshop\elements\"

-import onto the invisible scout.

-(OPTIONAL) rig both scouts, along with whatever model you want to put mocap on. lock the third
custom model of your choice to the VISIBLE AND RIGGED scout.

-shift click and drag over whatever sequence of the animation you want to use in motion editor

-right click on and copy the green bar.

-paste it onto visible scout

**KNOWN ISSUES**

1:

ISSUE:

When importing the animation, it will appear as if the model has disappeared. This is because importing animations also imports the roottransform data (the bone that moves the whole model around)

FIX

Click on the root transform of the scout in the selection heirarchy, and drag him back on screen. OR copy the root transform in motion editor, import the animation, then paste in motion editor.

2:

ISSUE:

Fingers are bent too far backwards/forwards or dont line up properly

FIX

None. You'll have to fix it yourself. The actual animation is all in place, the initial posing is off sometimes though. Adjust it in motion editor yourself.

3:

ISSUE:

Most of the animations here are looping, but the motion is driven by the pelvis, not the root.

FIX

To make this loop, you'll need to copy paste the animation segment repeatedly (do not copy paste the parts where the pelvis slides back to it's original point, only copy the actual animation). You will then have to highlight the second loop where it snaps back into it's old position, select the pelvis, and drag it forward until it no longer appears to be teleporting back. Lastly, use the round slider on the entire model between the last frame of the first loop and the first frame of the second loop. This will completely smooth out the transition and make it appear to loop perfectly, assuming you did it right.

No I'm not fixing any of this and I don't care if it's poorly optimized. This animation pack contains a bunch of walk and run animations, general animations, dances, all sorts of useful stuff which the community ought to have. I won't return to this at all, only uploading cause it was just sitting in my workshop elements folder.

Mixamo animations are short, don't you know?

I just don't understand how your thought process was to upload the animations in such tiny clips that they literally become useless. You can only have 2 seconds of him flipping or something. Why not have him run and run and run and then flip, recover and run some more? This is so painfully obvious.

i imported it to blender and then parented the animation onto the scout after porting it to sfm
