Mission tells about event of Russian-Ukrainian war - Siege of the Luhansk Border Base and heroic defense of Border Base by Ukrainian Border Guards against Russian mercenaries on summer 2014.

According to the original plan of the Russian mercenaries, the border guards should have give up without a fight, since they knew that locals were serving there.

On the night of June 1-2, at about 00:30, about 100 armed militants arrived at the Luhansk Border Detachment headquarters and stationed around the base. The first small arms attack began at about 4 a.m. and lasted about 40 minutes.

On the morning of June 2, border guards turned on the Ukrainian national anthem over a loudspeaker.

The actions of Ukrainian border guards were severely limited due to the fact that the militants fired from a residential area.

According to Oleksandr Bryhynets, the militants used "live shield" tactics to occupy apartments with civilians for firing points. The militants, in particular, fired grenade launchers at the outpost from the roof of the house.

According to Luhansk Border Guard spokesman Oleksandr Trokhimets, the defenders of the outpost were forced to answer only with small arms and grenade launchers. In the afternoon, 2 helicopters of the Armed Forces struck at militant positions.
A single Su-27 also struck targets in the open. On June 4, the press service of the Border Guard Service of Ukraine announced the departure of border guards of the Luhansk detachment from the place of permanent deployment.

US Assistant Secretary of Defense Derek Cholet condemned the militants' attack on the border guards and accused Russia of supporting separatist actions in eastern Ukraine.
