The Battle of The Remagen Bridge

During WW2, the germans were destroying all the bridges connecting towards the west. they had limited supplies, and barely any reinforcements. The Ludendorff Bridge was 1 of 2 bridges left standing. As the americans started to advance over the bridge, the germans tried destroying the bridge with their very limited explosives. the germans were outnumbered and were forced to retreat. 10 days after the americans captured the bridge, it collapsed. March 7th, 1945-March 17th, 1945. 28 army engineeres died and 67 were injured.
