Description
Lore

The 1998 CAP (Cullington Automobile Plant) Grand Hauler is known to many as a reliable and rugged van platform, suitable for anything from electrical work in large cities to camping abroad in the wilderness east of Frustrum. Some even see service in law enforcement. Its this ruggedness that was the deciding factor in the Lockelle Home Guard's choice to purchase multiple batches of the vehicle.

While more advanced trucks and transports are regulated to the higher-priority Lockellan Army, the Home Guard is forced to make do with older types which sometimes are not satisfactory for combat missions. Therefore, the Home Guard went on a search for a readily available vehicle to suit their needs. The newest CAP van, the Grand Hauler, was chosen over others due to its reliability and ruggedness, allowing it to traverse everything from the rocks around Tillaggaryd to the jungles of Muratori.

Multiple conversions have been made in number, the most numerous being flatbeds and troop carriers, though a variant with an armored fighting compartment, an APC of sorts, has been produced, but these are few and far between.

Performance

The Grand Hauler is built for adventure, so it can traverse the most rugged of terrain. It has good traction and equally good torque, as well as a tight turn radius. Perfect for trails. The back is large enough to seat at least eight men in the troop variant.

The Mod

Was looking through a guide on the more unique vehicles in Teardown and found the survaillance van, as well as the flatbed van. I thought the flatbed van was an interesting concept, and the survaillance van looked cool and had an off-road look to the front. I also had never made a wheeled vehicle before. This was a test more than anything else, but looks cool anyways. Didn't make it to the testing ground due to the short amount of time which it was unfinished. Currently contains the normal bed variant which is similar to the standard military truck, a flatbed variant, a troop variant, and the rare APC variant. Also spawnable are the wheels from the vehicle and the rubber mat found inside the APC.

Maps are Lee Chem, Frustrum, and Isla Estocastica, credits to Kooshing for the Multicrew Tank which is visible in two of the screenshots.
