MARIO'S TOWER DEFENCE

Description
Peach has been kidnapped by Bowser for the millionth time and Mario is pissed. He is now going on a killing rampage, assisted by Luigi, Yoshi and Toad. It's time to stop Bowser once and for all, and there's no better way of doing that than taking out every last one of his minions!

--- RULES ---
Mario's Tower Defence is not like any other zombie map. This is a Tower Defence style mode, where you need to stop the minions from escaping out of the red pipe. If a minion escapes, you will lose a life. If you lose all lives, it's game over. How long can you survive?

--- OTHER THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ---
Mario Tower Defence has a very unique perk system, which I will not reveal here to avoid spoilers. I want people to be able to figure out most of the mechanics on their own to make the experience more interesting. One other thing though, if you lose points, this is normal. Mario's Tower Defence uses a maximum points per round feature in order to make the experience more challenging and encourage more strategy.

Update 1 - 08 JUN 23
- Fixed a bug where minions will despawn, causing rounds to last longer and be easier than they should.
- Fixed a bug where the sound when a minion going through a pipe does not play.
- Removed 75% of the Modern Warefare 2019 guns, as there were far too many in the map.

Update 2 - 17 JUN 23
- Fixed a bug where some minions would spawn on a platform that isn't open yet (affected only 1 - 3 player games).
- Fixed a bug where the wall opening sound would not play when more than one wall is opening at a time.


--- GAME MECHANICS BREAKDOWN ---
This section will go into detail how the mechanics for this map works. This map features mechanics that are much different to traditional zombies, so it's expected some players may get confused the first couple of times playing. If you want to try and learn some of the mechanics on your own, please don't read this section yet. This is mainly for players who are confused and need more info to get higher scores.

First of all, this is a challenge map, it's not a map where I expect people to get to round 30+ and have games lasting for multiple hours. All of the mechanics in this map have been implemented to make the experience more challenging and keep things interesting.

__POINT SYSTEM__

- Players will start with 250 points.
- Players cannot have less than 250 points at any time. If a player's points go lower than 250, their points will be reset to 250. This is to stop players having the small chance of having literally no way to kill the minions. Grenades cost 250, so you can use those points to buy grenades to get enough points for the Shieva or the box.
- Players cannot have more than the max points per round. Max points start at 500 on round 1, and increment by 500 from there. If you get more points than the max points, your score will be reset to the max allowed points. This is to avoid players being able to pack-a-punch too early, as well as stopping players getting so many points without having anything to spend them on. With this method, you will be able to pack-a-punch at round 15 at the earliest.
- Players are encouraged to buy the shieva in the early rounds. It is very likely you will run out of ammo in your pistol before you get enough for the mystery box.

__PERK SYSTEM__

- There are 5 perks available on this map; Deadshot, Elemental Pop, Double Tap, Mule Kick and Speed Cola.
- All perks are free, but are limited.
- Deadshot is available at the start of the game, but the amount of bottles are limited. A 1-player or 2-player game will have 1 bottle spawn in, a 3-player game will have 2 bottles spawn in, and a 4-player game will have 3 bottles spawn in. This means as long as you're not on a 1-player game, 1 player will not be able to get Deadshot at the start.
- All other perks are brought in by the different colour Toads. They appear after a specific amount of rounds have passed. Elemental Pop and Mule Kick are more frequent than Speed Cola and Double Tap. It is possible for a Toad to bring two bottles at the same time, however, no more than three bottles can be on the table at the same time.
- Due to Deadshot not restocking bottles, there is a chance you can get a Deadshot bottle from the random powerup.

__MINIONS AND PLATFORMS__

- Minions will spawn from one of the four sides at the top of the platform, and work their way down to the red pipe. If a minion gets to the red pipe, you will lose a life and the minion will return to one of the four top pipes.
- The amount of minion platforms open will depend on the amount of players. If there is 1 player, 1 platform will be open. If there are two players, two platforms will be open, etc.
- At round 16 on a one, two, or three player game, the platform between Mule Kick and Speed Cola will open. However, minions will have a smaller chance of appearing on this platform up until round 23 on a 1 player game and a 3 player game (NOT A 2 PLAYER GAME)
- At round 23 on a two player game, the platform between Double Tap and Elemental Pop will open. This platform and the previous one that opened on round 16 will permanently have a smaller chance of minions being on them.
- Once a minion enters a pipe, you will hear a pipe sound. They will then appear on the next level down on ANY PLATFORM. That minion will not necessarily be on the same platform they once were.

__NABBIT__

- Nabbit will spawn in every 2-4 rounds, but can only spawn in at round 4 at the earliest.
- Nabbit has three different target modes. He can either attack a player, attack a toad, or roam around without a target.
- If Nabbit attacks a player and manages to hit them, there are several things he can do. He can:
- Steal points from the player, with a minimum being 200 and a maximum being 5000
- Decrease max-allowed points for ALL players
- Steal one of your perks
- Steal all of your ammo from your current gun
- When attacking a player, there is a small chance Nabbit will be able to perform two of those actions above instead of one.
- If Nabbit chooses to attack a Toad, he will approach their perk table and steal one of their perk bottles. If there are no bottles remaining on the table he is attacking, he will place a bomb instead, which will summon a Scientist Toad to come and defuse it.
- A Nabbit bomb will take 2 - 4 rounds for a Toad to defuse. However, if Nabbit attacks a table that already has a bomb on, an extra 2 - 4 rounds will be added on to the current defuse time.

__BOO__

- The amount of Boos that spawn will depend on the amount of players. If there is only one player, 2 Boos will spawn. If there are 2 players, 4 Boos will spawn, etc.
- You should never attack a Boo. They are obstacles to get in your way. If you shoot one, it will jumpscare you and remain on your screen for 5 - 10 seconds.
- If you get jumpscared, you can still shoot through the Boo, but you vision will be blocked.
- If a Boo goes invisible, your weapon will not affect it.

__POWERUPS AND MAX AMMO__

- Every 40 - 210 seconds, a random powerup will spawn.
- After a powerup has spawned, the powerup timer will not start again until the next round is started.
- A max ammo cannot spawn at random, you have to buy ammo from the Ammo Toad. The price of ammo can vary between 2000 and 6000 points.
