Description
This mod adds GREG and their 4 colorful friends to the game. Who asked for GREG? Nobody did. They're here now, anyway. Because Rimworld needs more birds, I guess?

GREG can be found in biomes from the following mods if you have them installed:
Advanced Biomes (Continued)
Alpha Biomes
Biomes! Islands
Biomes! Oasis
Regrowth: Core

If VE: Fishing is installed, all EGs can forage for fish!

What is a GREG, you ask? GREG stands for GReat EGret, which is a large, white wading bird you might see near lakes and wetlands in many different parts of the world! This mod contains GREG and 4 of their friends, all based on real-life egrets.

Baby textures and custom sounds eventually!

All EGs:
GREG: Great Egret- The OG! Found in most temperate/tropical wet biomes.
REEG - Reddish Egret - Found rarely in non-coastal wet biomes and commonly in coastal biomes. Comes in 3 color variants!
SLEG - Slaty Egret - Found commonly in hot, dry biomes that have some water (so no deserts). Also volcanoes!
SNEG - Snowy Egret - Found commonly in all cold biomes, including the Ice Sheet at a rare chance
CAEG - Cattle Egret - Found mostly in temperate biomes and grasslands. Comes in 2 color variants!

Hi. With Vanilla Fishing Expanded out - there's a number of errors being thrown due to the new VFE namespace changes:

Exception loading def from file Egret_CAEG.xml: System.ArgumentException: Could not find type named AnimalBehaviours.CompProperties_DigWhenHungry from node <li MayRequire="vanillaexpanded.vcef" Class="AnimalBehaviours.CompProperties_DigWhenHungry"><customThingToDig>VCEF_RawBass</customThingToDig><customAmountToDig>10</customAmountToDig></li>

One error each for these XML:
- Egret_CAEG.xml
- Egret_GREG.xml
- Egret_REEG.xml
- Egret_SLEG.xml
- Egret_SNEG.xml

Yes, please do. I'll double check their stats when I'm home but afaik they shouldn't be that way. Vanilla animal battles are pretty awful though, so you might just be seeing them dying to rabbits and getting killed by other predators lmfao

Thinking about how often I see Rimworld foxes dead from trying to hunt prey they would easily solo irl...

No, I do have a ton of mods so if that isnt intentional I will have to check for other issues. I just thought they were monsters in disguise.

That is... not right. They're only set to prey upon animals that are roughly rabbit-sized or smaller. Are you playing with CE, by chance?

Why are these birds so violent and suicidal? I love the look and the idea, but they will clear out everything they can, then fight with larger animals till they are extinct.

Ok so bad news about flying... I don't think it supports alternate graphics in the way I have it set up currently. So that's on the backburner for now...
