Misc. Robots++

Description
R++
Robots? Y u no Robots++ also!?
More Robots!!!
More Better!!!

Contains multi-talented robots to serve your colony. It also adds a research tab, materials, and a new Robotics workbench for crafting the Misc. Robots and Robots++ objects.

R++ was made using the "Misc. Robots Xtension" provided by Haplo. Big shout-out to Haplo for the awesome misc mods, eh!

Robots++ Contains the Following Bots
These bots combine multiple abilities to perform common colony tasks
  • Kitchen Bot
    A unit capable of cooking, as well as sowing and cutting plants.
    A useful robot both in the kitchen, and on the farm.
  • Crafter Bot
    A unit capable of smithing, tailoring, and crafting.
    The perfect slaves for an automated assembly line!
  • Builder Bot
    A Builder unit capable of constructing, deconstructing, repairing, and mining.
    It will also cut plants that are in the way, but may not be used for farming.
  • ER Bot
    An Emergency Response unit capable of treating patients and fighting fires.
    Don't be scared of the needle; it wont hurt (much).
  • Omni Bot
    The OmniBot is at the end of the techtree
    and requires you to research all of the other robots first.
    The OmniBot can do the jobs of all the other robots.

R++ also changes the Hauling and Cleaning Misc. Robots.

Multiple Tiers of Robots and Research
There are five tiers of robots:
Tier 1 Simple robots have Amateur skills (4),
Tier 2 Basic robots have Professional skills (8),
Tier 3 Intermediate robots have Master skills (13),
Tier 4 Advanced robots have System-Class Master skills (16),
Tier 5 Anti-Logic robots have GodLike skills (20).

Each tier has a faster movement speed and more fire resistance than the previous.
Hauling and Cleaning type robots are much faster than any other robot in the same tier.
Higher tiers also recharge at faster rates!

Localization & Translation
Community translations are included. If you would like to translate for R++ please use the /Languages/English/[github.com] folder as a template. I can merge translations into the mod directly, but Rimworld has robust support for dedicated translation mods, so please consider that first.

Load Order
(see the picture)
R++ requires Misc. Robots. Keep them close together and near the top. It's advised to only keep large collections of mods, like the Misc. Mods, close together near the top. Single-file mods and other mods should be loaded after them (not a rule set in stone, but it can fix a lot of headaches).

Example Mod Load Order:
  • Core
  • Misc Robots
  • Misc Robots++
  • (other mods)

Conflicts
Known mod conflicts:
  • QualityBuilder: Robots aren't considered smart enough to build anything with a quality restriction

Report bugs in the Github Issues[github.com]
But before you do, please verify your load order is correct!

Notice from current developer
This mod is fairly ancient, in the sense that it's been around a really long time, has changed hands multiple times, and is somehow, wonderfully, still going. I'm just the latest in a long line of developers who liked Honshitsu's original work and didn't want to see it die. I had intended for this to be a simple, single-line-of-code update to make the mod easier to use in the most reason version of the game, but I've since tried to make changes/improvements where I could. This version of the mod is maintained on a fork of the original, so if you ever decide I've gone to far, you can always check out the original (or just let me know, I love talking about this stuff). Here's to everyone that's come before, and here's to whatever the future may hold!

@cabmoomoo I appreciate the troubleshooting effort for sure - with no action on my end, it seems to have cleared up, I'm assuming it may have potentially been something placed within the save I was on that causing an issue, it just sort of stopped yesterday and hasn't appeared again. I'm a bit at a loss here, if it happens again I'll see if I can pinpoint what it was. Thanks for the help again.

Oh, i see, i found it out myself, after exploring your mod. Instead of V i just replace it with ALL
from RPP_Research_Omni_V to RPP_Research_Omni_All .
Bug solved - I feel midly embarresed i didn't realize it was my own mod. But it's all good and solved now :D

OMG!!!
It's my own mod that does this!!!
OverPowered Gaming mod has an error... FRACK!!
Um... Help??
https://steamproxy-script.pipiskins.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2161009836

In the 1.6 files in the patches thereof.
I'm going to take a closer look, but um... not sure what exactly it is that's wrong, but i solved the mystery... it's funny enough my own dang mod...

I'm happy my phone has a good camera, no need to pay attention to which mods i mass-disable
All i need to do is just disable a slew of mods until the error vanishes, then slowly rename those mods on that particular "list" until the error reappears. It's slow, but i love Misc robots to much to anything else. cause i'm at a loss as to what mod causes this.

Okay, searching that, yielded 100% ZERO pings beyond this mod in particular.
So that was a dud.

No idea what else to do... I really can't think of which mod it could be...
I'll keep looking, but i have really no dang clue...

(Smart arse mode engaged:)
Nope, can't link you to "Statis Quality" because that was a typo we both just made.
I meant "Static quality", here is the link-a-roo: https://steamproxy-script.pipiskins.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2801204005

I'm going to try and use notepad++ and search "RPP_Research_Omni_V" in all the files of my workshop folder, it'll take 30 minutes or so.

While i only play with 120~ mods, i have subbed to maybe.. 300? (I need to unsub to a lot of the outdated ones... to lazy tho. (90~ are basically GoL mods or Performance mods. 15~ are cheat mods and the rest are mods that adds new content.)

I'll report back with my finding once i get a ping ;)

@Copper Boltwire Looks like something is playing with research. For some reason, something is looking for a research project specific to the Tier 5 Omni Bot, which isn't how the research has worked in nearly a year. Could be another mod with an outdated patch for this one, though I'm not sure what research project would want to tie itself to the Omni V. I'm also not familiar with a mod called "Statis Quality", would you be able to provide a link?

@AaronxRegen Sorry this is taking so much to troubleshoot. It seems you have a scenario that is similar in log output to the one I fixed, but not quite the same root problem. Would you be able to pastebin you mod list? If you save the mod list in the game mod menu, the file for that list will be located in the same area as your save files - you might need to google where that is based on your OS.

@Tobi In this mod alone, no, there is no other solution. I can, however, point you in the direction of the WorkTab mod, and the Misc Robots Worktab Support patch mod. Those should give you the tools you seek.

@cabmoomoo
Thanks, I identified the issue as a conflict with the mod [FSF] Complex Jobs that was altering job assignment in a way incompatible with Misc. Robots++
