Alternatively, you could even make the QR Code simply give the player some numbers / letters as a riddle so they would've to figure out how to get the right numbers.
For it to be manual, you'd have to be looking at the server 24/7, which doesn't really work.
However, if you really wanted to implement it like that, at least there could be some challenge inside Discord (a riddle or something) instead of giving the code right away.

I noticed that you can skip it, but still, not a big fan of it.
Nonetheless, the map had some cool mechanics such as having to pause the game to get the code and pausing the zombies [/spoilers]. I'm looking forward for your future maps as well as updating the "stay" ending.
