Description
This mod aims to improve the Might of Hephaestus set items (mace, shield, ring) to make them more fun to use. Earth/Defense characters don't have any other set in the game so I thought I'd give it some love.

It also includes my version of the artifact by the same name from my mod Awesome Artifacts. (Yes, the artifact and the item set share the same name, it's a bit confusing.)

There are screenshots of each item in the picture gallery.

Changelog:

Hand of Hephaestus:
Speed increased to match the fastest of the 3 different speeds that maces can have.
Burn Damage increased to 300 over 3 seconds.
Health Regeneration increased to 50%.
Grants passive skill: Volcanic Strike.

Hephaestus' Molten Shield:
Base damage increased to 240.
Now has 55% chance to block 750 damage.
Dexterity and Intelligence bonuses increased from 30 to 50.
Health Regeneration increased to 50%.
Grants passive skill: Molten Smash.

Seal of Hephaestus:
Added +150 Energy.
Added +30% Casting Speed.

Set bonus:
Removed 50 armor bonus. (Armor from set bonuses doesn't work)
+50% Pierce Resistance.
+50% Bleeding Resistance.
-20% Shield Recovery Time.
+15.0 Energy Regeneration per second.
-15% Recharge.
The energy regeneration, when combined with the Might of Hephaestus artifact, will allow you to use Ring of Flame permanently.

Passive item skills:

Volcanic Strike:
+10% Total Damage.
60 Fire Damage.
300 Burn Damage over 3 seconds.
10% Reduced Resistances for 3 seconds.
10% Reduced Defensive Ability for 3 seconds.
0.5 Seconds of stun.
120 degree arc of attack.
6% chance to be used.

Molten Smash:
60 Fire Damage.
10% Reduced Total Speed for 3 seconds.
10% Reduced Offensive Ability for 3 seconds.
0.5 Seconds of stun.
120 degree arc of attack.
6% chance to be used.
Hits with both the shield and the weapon.

This mod can be freely used in any mod merge as long as you credit me with a link to this mod. It was created for my merge XMAX FTW and can also be experienced there.

I saw you made another mod for shade armor set. Is it possible to change the donars might set? Its based arround thor has 3 pieces. But it does not buff lighting in any way. That feels strange.

Batter is Defense's main attack. It even gets -15% recharge from the set bonus. 72% of your hits will be special attacks like Shield Smash and then you get a guaranteed cleave attack every few seconds from Batter.

Merging mods is not as simple as you'd like in Titan Quest, you have to use the Art Manager. There are guides in the community tabs for how to merge mods, one involves using a program that does it all for you.

I also have my two mod merges linked in the description, which has many modes to choose from to suit your needs.

and how can i merge the mods? Simply copy the arz-file into the xmax folder?

Just don't convert to elemental damage, go for added fire damage like Primal Magma etc. You have % physical damage from the artifact, from Brimstone and from Defense mastery. The set does enough damage. You have dual element in physical and fire.

and maybe make molten smash (shieldbased to smash?) on pair with the full skilled smash from the defense three.

And vulcanic strike as a spamable ability. Otherwise juggernouts do not have one.

If we play it with physical we must play physical which is possible but ignore fire abilities or firedamage on abilities. And i personaly do not like this. But we can not covert our damage to elementary without huge problems and weakening our char. And even if we do, we only have 1/3rd of our physical weaponbasedamage as fire. The other 2/3rd is lightning and cold.

So maybe its op, but can you add for example as set-bonus physical damage? And increase the fire/burn damage so we can use it in a physical playstyle or make conversion to elementary worth.

I like the idea. But can you change the items a bit. Most player play physical with earth. So maybe give the items a physical bonus too.
Because as physical its not good to convert damage to elementary (especially with defense which makes huge schild-autohitdamage) except you play rune as 2nd.

The problem i have with fire is that it is really worse. It is one damagetype. Most other elementary trees have two. And earth is the only school with fire. Their are no other synergies with fire, because all other schools make lighting/cold damage or vital/leech damage. And with this earth is the only school with no damagesynergies with fire in other schools.

It's a set that already exists in the game which I've modified. It drops pretty much anywhere on Legendary difficulty but has the highest chance to drop from Typhon.

The formula for the artifact drops on Epic instead of Legendary, again from Typhon.
