Timed Quest Markers - Asterisk Quest Marker

Description
Can be combined with my Log Marker mod as well.

Adds a marker to the quest name itself to indicate that it has timed portions of the quest. These timed portions may lead to characters deaths or quest fail conditions. By putting a marker on the quest you will know to actively do the quest once you collect it so that you don't potentially miss out on the quest.

This was made by looking through every single quest file in the game using Skald to find anything on a timer that could lead to bad consequences for quest progression.

This mod covers all 15 of the languages covered by the game natively.

打了这个mod左右会有*星号*,这个mod作者放的图有点误导了,怕有人不懂英文说一下,然后可以配合mod制作者在评论区的另一个mod,那个会在日志内容后提示有时间限制

@Inmost Silence I do have the log marker version that does just mark in the quest log (though only for the overall quest description) https://steamproxy-script.pipiskins.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3456499115 .

I am looking at expanding this in the future with both icon marker instead of editing the quest name and a version of the marker mod that does mark the individual quest stage that is timed. That is quite a bit of digging through the quest files to get right though.

Is it possible to add these markers not on the quest itself but on the timed objectives? There are several quite long quests that are timed only on few objectives.

I am looking for a way to get a custom symbol to use in the quest name that looks better than the asterisks or dashes. Tried before I released this with no luck with unicode symbols but have been on vacation for a while. I will get back to trying to do this as soon as I am back to my computer.

@Gamerwolfsix I might be mistaken but I think looooong quest lines like Miri Fajta will rarely put you "on the clock" immediately. It's usually at certain key objectives, I think

I agree that if there are portions of these quests which aren't time critical (which might be) then it would be great to differentiate the timed objectives instead of the whole quest

Yes! One of the very few things that they overlooked while making KCD1 better in almost ANY field. There should be a way to regognise the few time-criticsl quests from the hordes of regular ones. Great job!

Maybe one of the UI mod creators here for KCD2 could even make you a fancy icon, would you be able to use that? Slickest would be if those timed quest markers looked in line with the other quest markers but had smth like a little golden flag or a "clock" symbol added to it maybe?

Would be best if you could add it to objectives instead. That way we know which past of quest is timed.

Heck, I downloaded Timed Quest Markers - Asterisk Quest Marker
Saw one with ** for the main portion but not the sub part of the quest. Does that mean its safe for now or am I on the clock?
It being Miri Fajta. Got the quest but havent done anything in it yet.
