Portable Rock Tumblers

Description
Tired of trekking to the Yd Freehold every time you find a gemstone? This mod adds two different portable rock tumblers that allievate this annoyance. The tier 5 rock tumbler takes 2500 charge (1 solar cell / 1/4 chem cell) per gemstone, while the tier 7 rock tumbler requires no charge. They're also heavy for tools (25# & 12#); along with the charge requirements this should make them feel inconvenient enough to be balanced even if you're hanging out in Jademouth and cycling gems. Both are tinkerable and should populate in the world normally.

oh, actually, odd as it is, i prefer it to be a container. the cybernetic is usually good, but sometimes i actually want to keep a gem rough for one reason or another, usually RP. so thank you for making it like this :steamthumbsup:

They're containers, so they're a little finicky to use. Discovered after uploading that MAFT's Sundry Cybernetics mod has a passive tumbler cybernetic that seems to work pretty well; i'm not sure how difficult it would be for me to implement a similar passive tumbler artifact, but i wouldn't be opposed to making a passive item in a future update ^_^

I did not know that "Rock Tumbling" was a feature or that there were rock tumblers in Yd Freehold. Better late than never

are they containers you put the gems in, or do they just automatically smooth all the gems in your inventory?

I’ve been playing Qud for 6 years... damn, I had no idea you could work on rocks like that...where the hell have I been
