With the war on exoplanet K2-18 b finally over, the Stino Corporation requested the return of one of its AMP-2A Acheron mechs from the Terran forces for display at their factory. The unit they received belonged to the commander of the 5th Heavy Infantry Battalion, Styx.

Styx ended the war with the highest number of confirmed kills, boasting nearly 4,500. Her custom-built flamethrower proved devastating in close-quarters combat, and her decision to replace the standard rifle with an anti-tank sniper rifle made the mech effective against nearly any target on the battlefield.

As her kill count rose, Styx became a high-value target. During a routine patrol, she was ambushed by an overwhelming enemy force. Most of the patrol was wiped out, and her mech suffered catastrophic damage too both legs and the right arm. Despite this, she managed to crawl back to base using only one arm. The unit was later fully restored, some of the battle damage on the left arm remains visible to this day.
