After the unexpected popularity of the Philippine mod, I have done the same thing for a much more interesting region gameplay-wise: The Caribbean.

Make a singular mod where every single island is connected to one another and they're also connected to the mainland, and for added shits and giggles connect eurasia and north america with the bering land bridge

Wonderful and hilarious idea. I can see similar shenanigans done with Japan, the Aleutian Islands, the Aegean Sea, Doggerland, and all throughout Indonesia.
