Lingering Dawn - Timelord's Embrace (24h)

Description
Lingering Dawn - Timelord's Embrace (24h)

This mod matches a full real-life 24 hour day cycle. The default Bellwright cycle is 45 minutes (TimeFactor 1:32).

Changing the TimeFactor alters how quickly in-game time progresses relative to real time. The default TimeFactor of 1:32 means one real-life second equals 32 in-game seconds. Adjusting to Timelord's (1:1) changes this ratio, making in-game time flow more slowly or quickly depending on the version selected.

Important Note: Changing TimeFactor does not affect crafting times, villager task speeds, or crop growth durations, as these are based on real-world time. The primary impact is on systems that depend on in-game days passed, such as raids, reclamation parties, tax collection, and event triggers.

For example, if you were previously on day 24 with the vanilla cycle (1:32), switching to this new cycle will adjust your save to show approximately day 0 instead.

You have already invested approximately 1080 real minutes (24 days * 45 minutes per day) before switching. To reach day 24 again under Timelord's (1:1), you will need to play an additional 34560 real minutes (24 days * 1440 minutes per day).

This means your total time to reach day 24 from the start of your save will be approximately 35640 real minutes, compared to 1080 minutes under vanilla.

Note: These calculations assume you do not use the sleep mechanic, which skips approximately 9 in-game hours each night. Actual playtime required will generally be less than listed, as this example uses the maximum possible time needed per day without sleeping.

WARNING:
This mod directly alters the in-game calendar and progression counters. Adjusting TimeFactor mid-save can desynchronize day-based systems such as raids, rebellions, and quests that rely on specific day milestones. It is strongly recommended to use this mod only on fresh saves, or be fully prepared for severe unintended consequences and desynchronizations until you have reached your original day count under the new time scale.

Sleeping mechanics remain unchanged and will skip time to 7am instantly, regardless of your chosen TimeFactor.

You have been warned.

Hi great work as always. I always felt time went by too quick in this game. Is there any way you can create a mod for Winter? like Winter x 5 or 10, etc? It goes by to quick and no challenge. Thanks again

Livestock shouldnt be affected by this, though we gotta be honest, the livestock system is still new/unknown fully to us. Pretty sure it functions off the day cycle, not real time, but who knows. We can take a look though. Maybe this will be the reason we push out our Husbandry mod line, to alleviate some of that livestock burden, by letting them live longer, etc.. xD

Live stock is dying from neglect after installing this mod. The mod idea is brilliant, however it seems you may have to tweak something to allow the animals to survive.
