- The band Gojira was originally named “Godzilla”. But the band had to change their name due to copyright issues because when the 1998 film titled "Godzilla" starring Matthew Broderick was released. Then the band decided to change their name to Gojira which is just Godzilla in Japanese.

- Gojira is officially the first metal band to appear on The Olympic Games around The 2024 Summer Olympics.

- Gojira did an album of collabs with other artists but all songs but 1 were lost due to a corrupted hard drive. The album was called “Sea Shepherd” which was originally a 5 track EP album.
