About life getting in the way, well, that's unfortunate, but can't be helped. ;)
Hope it's been some good things getting in the way. :)
As others have suggested, perhaps give Whitehooves the normal undead start?
Additionally, I think the Yeek start would be the most fitting for Yetis, since, lore-wise, the Yetis are actually mind controlled by psionic orcs. Since Iirk is the place for the main psionic community in the main campaign, I think it'd be a fitting start for them.
