Fighting Fantasy - Introductory Role-Playing Game

Description
Fighting Fantasy is the ideal introduction to the fast-growing world of role-playing games, and literally countless adventures await you!

Based on the gamebooks of the same name by Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone, this D&D-like RPG pits players up against a GamesMaster, who controls the land, monsters, NPCs and events for the adventurers to cope with.
This subscription includes:

1 Base GM Rulebook and 1 Expansion GM Rulebook
2 readymade Base map boards and 4 readymade Expansion map boards
Notecards, dice and player tokens for up to 4 adventurers

Now YOU can create your own Fighting Fantasy adventures and send your friends off on dangerous missions! In the clearly written handbook included in this mod, there are hints on devising combats, monsters to use, tricks and tactics, as well as two mini-adventures complete with GamesMaster's notes for you to start with.

This subscription also includes the Riddling Reaver Expansion! In this full-length adventure, four brave adventurers must band together and chase the deadly agent of the Trickster Gods, the Riddling Reaver, and survive his devious riddles and traps! This Expansion includes new features, such as the ability for one of the party members to become a spellcaster and cast magic spells.

Right-click on them.

I'm new to TTS so sorry if this is a basic question, but how do I write on the index cards?

You can lock the maps in place with the L button so they won't move, and you can use the Fog of War feature to hide portions of each map if desired. This is admittedly a simple mod that doesn't have much in terms of presentation, but considering this is being advertised as a simpler alternative to D&D, I guess that's the point.

Are the maps meant to be laid on the table? They keep jetting off to the side and knocking over player reference cards when I try to place them. Also, are the maps immediately visible to players if you lay it out, or is there a way to selectively reveal portions? Looks cool, though. Been meaning to break this out of the game closet to introduce some new roleplayers for a while!

Well, this mod now includes an expansion adventure, which is much bigger than the first two mini-adventures. Check it out.

If you enjoyed this mod, I can make a sequel which includes a much larger multiplayer adventure, along with new features such as the ability to become a spellcaster.

"The book series themselves are very old, they've been around since the 80s."

Ouch, that hurts ;_;

Are there any more Fighting Fantasy rules books for multiplayer?

The book series themselves are very old, they've been around since the 80s. The ACTUAL Fighting Fantasy books are more designed for single players (their format is similar to those pick-your-adventure books), but the book that this mod uses is the FF rulebook that has rules for multiplayer play. You can still order FF books online and their website is fightingfantasy.com .
