v5.0:

- Name changed to Alpha Bees
- Updated to RimWorld 1.4
- Removed support for RW 1.0 and 1.1 to save disk space, as the mod was getting too big, and no one in their right mind is playing such old versions
- Added: mod option to drop bees and bee products as soon as they are extracted from beehouses / chambers, so dedicated haulers can then carry them to stockpiles or other storage

HUGE update: a TON of QoL changes added to the mod, courtesy of Ben Lubar.

Added an icon to bee houses that are missing bees. This can be toggled via mod options (ON by default)
Added a progress bar to bee houses, brood chambers, and hybridization chambers. This can be toggled via mod options (ON by default)
Added an alert for bees that are in the process of being destroyed by the environment. This can be toggled via mod options (ON by default)
Added a button to the bee research table to show known bee species. This can be toggled via mod options (ON by default). Bee species are considered to be "known" if they (a) are not a hybrid species, (b) have been created in a hybridization chamber while this mod was active, or (c) were present on the map or in a beehouse when the button on the research table is pressed
Added links to the descriptions of bees and honey combs.
Shrinked mead barrel sprite to match its actual size.
Made mead barrel check for interaction spot overlap on place (otherwise it could be deleted while loading a save).
Moved "extract from any comb" to top of recipe list.
Marked beekeeping skill types for the work tab.
Changed various job titles to be more descriptive.
Made climatized beehouses a requirement for advanced climatized beehouse research.
Added some Learning Helper messages for starting out with RimBees.
Fixed trees with hives in them acting unlike trees.

Also changes by me: added compatibility with Vanilla Factions Expanded - Ancients:

Added a new tier 5 bee, with its combination and research papers: the Superhero bee. Its combs produce super-nanites, albeit at a very slow pace (2 quadrums)
Added a new vault design, the Bee Vault, that can spawn at the Sealed vault quests, or be used as the beginning map for the Sealed Vault scenario. This is a vault containing all the ammenities necessary for Vanilla Factions Expanded - Ancients (a lab, a comm station, etc), but also a fully fledged bee apiary that you can start using immediately

More general changes:

Brood chamber and hybridization chambers now have a dev mode button to finish their current operation. Useful to test things
Fix: If both drone and queen need the same exotic material (or plant) to produce combs, the text string appeared blank

14 new bee species added. Fabricated Bees will be part of the base RimBees mod, producing Advanced Components. The other 13 are modded bees: Alpha Animals adds Aero Bees. Rim-Effect Core adds Prefab Bees and Eezo Bees. More Archotech Garbage adds Archo Bees. Vanilla Factions Expanded - Mechanoids adds Automatic Bees. Jewelry adds Diamond Bees, Ruby Bees and Sapphire Bees. RimWorld of Magic adds Wizard Bees. Rim of Madness - Bones adds Skeletal Bees. Dice of Destiny adds Casino Bees, Ominous Bees and Fortunate Bees.

4 new beehouses added to the mod: the Spacer Beehouse provides a late-game production boost. The other 3 beehouses are modded: Rim-Effect Core adds Prefab Beehouse. More Archotech Garbage adds the Archotech Beehouse. Vanilla Factions Expanded - Mechanoids adds the Industrial Apiary.

New bee research added for most of the new bees, or you can chcek out the combinations on the Bestiary Wiki
